It's not just the athletic program either. Banner is a terrible system and it's everywhere. I'm VP for a club on-campus and the room reservation system makes me want to shoot myself in the face every time I have to use it.
That's what I'm saying. It's terrible. My wording wasn't great but that was my point. I was just trying to say that I wasn't bashing the University because this could happen anywhere. Bad people exist everywhere. Of course it should be viewed in a negative manner. It's despicable. No other way around it.
Is that anything like Pennsatucky?

come on dude. University reputations are not the highest priority here. If you want to wish for something, then wish there was a way to go back in time to prevent this from happening. Who cares if this is viewed in a negative manner. It should be.

I get that some don't want to use it, I don't either, but really come on people. One look at the hokiesports website and the asinine video player they use and it should tell you how far the athletic department needs to go to even get contemporary in website design, let alone "inventing the future" as it should be. However and whatever they can use to get closer to "up to date" with technology the better in my opinion, and as some stated it's a great way to connect to recruits.
all that being said, if someone wants to record the videos and post on youtube I would greatly appreciate it.
I agree. I wish there was a way to spin this in a more positive manner but it just isn't possible. Has very little to do with the University and football team and everything to do with the kid. IMO, this is a case where you can't judge a school based on its students. Some people are just messed up. Just an upsetting situation.
Everything else is defensible, this is not. Just dumb.
A little OT here I suppose. Not directly related to the case. But things are going south in Vol land very quickly.

Great interview. I wish Babcock would have gone into more detail about the ACC Network. It's been the same non-answer for a while now. I wonder if ESPN's cash crunch (expenses/payouts up, subscribers down) is having something to do with the delays.
Seems like just another spin on a circuit training program to me. Lots of those out there, so I'd recommend trying a few of them out and find one that suits you before putting down $85/mo. I hate gyms so the outdoor aspect sounds appealing but it may also get annoying dealing with variable travel times going to different locations all the time.
Same thoughts on Evans. Holy crap. He definitely looks like an LB but was SOOO agile and fluid with his cuts and movements. Man he is quick.
Lawson also looked good in a different set, but whoever went right after Evans (Motley I think, did he cut his hair?) looked like he had nothing on Evans' mobility. I've been dialing back the hype on Evans but he is an animal. Oh boy...
I was so glad to see Whit say that. The fighting gobbler was way before my time but I think there could be some badass use of that logo.
I would love to see a jersey that had the fighting gobbler on the shoulder pads, or somewhere, if we want to stay with the VT helmets.

Agreed. We have routinely changed our uniforms every 5ish years or so. The stripes were never meant to be "uni's for life" even when they became the regular jerseys. As others mentioned, it would be a good analogy for putting these down years behind us. The stripes did their thing for a while, but it's time for a face-lift for the whole program and the timing couldn't be better.
I think it's more likely that Melisandre resurrects Jon the same way the Red Priest Thoros was resurrecting the leader of the Brotherhood without Banners. That's the only known method in the stories/TV show. Still a chance Jon is toast though. Or warged into Ghost.
FWIW we should have 7 at either 1 or 2 seed (72 pts)....State will only have Renda as another highly seeded for a total of 57 pts.
I'm hoping Solomon can finish above his seed. Do you have Epp or Ramos at #1 seed?

Yeah they have 4 #1 seeds right now, Jack Gantt Roskopf and Gwiaz, and that accounts for 48 of 80 points
I am guessing the bonus points for falls and tech will be a big deal then if its going to be that close. Like I mentioned in another thread I feel like NCST will be favored due to their big 3 or 4, going to have to hope we have some upsets to pull it off.
