Not to be all doomsday about this, but...
It's a bad sign that this thread is buried in this site, and when new comments pop up they're mainly jokes, OT comments and general BS. And I get it - since it's all we have to talk about.
But no hire in sight? The optics on this shituation (not a typo) get worse every second. Pretty obvious that TG caught Whit & Coach with their pants down. As ugly as the "sign'em & peace" scenario is/was, I'd take it easily over what we are dealing with now.
Thoughts? IMO, no news is bad news in this instance...
I'd say 3 more wins is very reasonable. Looking at those teams I think based on the way we've played up till now, we are fully capable of winning each one of those games in a vacuum. We're more likely to lose out than to win out, but I think 2.5-3.5 would be a pretty fair o/u
Part of it was the limited # of competition dates and the desire of top B1G coaches to know if they have a match that weekend.
Seems like I recall some discussion on a thread a couple of months ago that seemed to come to the conclusion that with elite athletes, there are no minor surgeries. Not trying to fire that back up, just always wary after folks have been under the knife, with some personal experience to cause me to be.
First, Tech cheats wether you want to believe it or not.
Whoa whoa whoa hit the brakes there buddy. Like someone below me said, until I see concrete evidence that Tech HAS cheated, I'm going to go with they haven't cheated. Assuming the worst in people/programs with a clean track record and a coach who is VERY well known to be honest, upstanding and legit is pretty pitiful if you ask me.

# | ACC Title on the line, #8 VT goes on the Road to face #3 NCSU Friday 7pm I get that the B1G is the 800-lb elephant in the room of collegiate wrestling, but why do their top 8 teams get auto-bids and get to host all the events? Surely someone had to consider that there might be two conferences whose 2nd place team is more worthy than the 8th place team in the B1G.
The hype around this match is super high. I hope the wrestlers can tune out the noise and just play loose. We need to win if we want to continue to climb closer to a National Title in Wrestling.
While I don't think our athletics program is sliding envelops full of cash to recruits, I'm positive that our program is far from 'no wrong-doings'. The 'don't throw stones in a glass house' cliche could definitely apply here.
