I may be wrong, but I agree with you.
I'd love to see Motley come out and blow us all away, but Lawson always seemed to have the potential to be as good of a runner and maybe a better passer. If he really turned a corner, I'd say the competition is between him and Evans with Motley as a safe backup.
Dude never should have been a QB for us, so honestly I'd really rather see anyone but him win it. We saw what we had in him, which was a spot duty player at best. He isn't going to be the caliber of player we need to get back to ACC Championships and 10 win seasons.
I blame the Strength and Conditioning program. /s
Gentlemen, start placing your bets:
Evans: 3:1
Lawson: 3:1
Motley: 5:1
Durkin: 10:1
Jackson: 10:1
Since the kid already lost a year to an achilles, he could get a med RS extra season, if he missed all of next year. I hope that he doesn't have Kenny Lewis type recovery from an Achilles injury.
Suppose I could have found a picture of a non-NCAA affiliated fencing salle...
I don't care what anyone tells me, I am not ready to count out Motely from winning the job.
Same article lists the US News Engineering Rank and has Tech at 15 and Duke at 19.
This is possible. I ruptured my left Achilles playing basketball. Took a year to recover with intense PT after surgery. Considering he will get probably better doctors and PT access then I had, it could be faster, but expect 9 months minimum. That does not bode well for start of season but he could be in later in the season (at the earliest). Bummer.
This would bode well for us next year.
...to join the Ohio State fencing team?

Don't try to church it up.
read this and it reminded me of "Easy, you just don't lead them as much." then I looked up the quote and realized it was the exact same paragraph... Have a leg
turns out this type of injury is his...Achilles heel. too soon?
Concur, he was our PE teacher and Head football coach at Franklin HS (City of Franklin, not Franklin County) in the mid to late 90's.
I think he still managed to run Moto over this morning.
I'm never going to miss a good opportunity to beat this drum.

Personally, I am pulling for Clay Dean. He got a bit of a bad deal when the new staff didn't honor his scholarship. I hope he's able to earn one in short order.
That is an extremely narrowly focused evaluation. Duke has a total of 3 engineering programs in the top 20 as opposed to the 10 programs at Tech that all place in the top 20. If Bracey knows he wants to major in BioMed Engineering then fine, Duke may be for him. Otherwise, his best bet, strictly from an overall engineering education's perspective, is without question Virginia Tech.
Booooo. Get out of here.
Leg for Ric Fliehr!
"Anyone who runs is VC, anyone who stands still is well disciplined VC"

They have a very talented kid coming in from Benedictine in Richmond- Scott Bracey. He played QB as well as WR in HS.
