Columbus here as well. I think Crew SC needs to start figuring out how to get by when Higuain decides to disappear, but otherwise is very well set up to have another big season. Berhalter is probably one of the better team managers in the league and seems to find ways to make players succeed. Still mad at Clark, so hopefully he does some atoning for that early on.
Starting following the MLS two seasons ago and randomly chose the Timbers, turned out to be a pretty good pick haha. Love Diego Valeri, RCTID.

Yeah about that post game... Why the hell blast the interviews from midfield of the celebration in the area you're trying to interview the losing players? First time I've ever seen that and I don't blame Cam for leaving. I mean it's one thing to have to answer questions about the loss, but to answer them while being forced to listen to and see the victorious opponents talking shit about the way you played while doing that interview? Fuck that
It's almost like the NFL was trying to create that kind of reaction.

Bingo. As a Panthers fan, I don't like the way Cam handled his post game behavior. But it's pretty silly how much hate he gets from people.

meh. I don't really have a strong opinion on Cam. I think this country has grown soft, especially with all of the political correctness police and social justice warriors going crazy on line. My view on Cam celebrating is that if you don't want him to celebrate don't let him score. Denver kept him out of the end zone. He didn't celebrate. I think that is fair.

Getting closer looks and being in the top 2 is absolutely nothing new for VT. And in the end it still means exactly the same thing as not getting a closer look and not being the top 2.
I just seen way too many times where it hasn't amounted to anything and very few where it has.
And what good recruits followed those 5 star guys to UVA? Other than those few elite guys, UVA's recruiting was underwhelming. UVA under London is exhibit A for elite recruits having no coat tails.
That's not at all what he acknowledged. He said if VT if gets one or two top guys, it will be "huge on closing with others". There is little evidence to support that and that's what I disagreed with.
I have personally have no idea how many top 10 VA guys VT will get - nor do I really care (I just want good players, with good attitudes, that fit VT's system and are at positions of need - regardless of their domicile).
But getting this kid doesn't appreciably change the odds of getting or not getting additional top 10 VA guys.
I have a feeling the title of this thread should be altered to something along the lines of SB Dishes & Dips (plus game) since the majority of the posts were about those instead of the game. Not a criticism. However, the criticism I do put fwd is that none of them were shared with me.
In truth I appreciated it whenever he would score a TD and hand it to a young kid in their home stadium (a trend that carried over to his teammates). What I don't appreciate was the apparent lack of humility with the very excessive taunting dances, as well as his inability to lose gracefully. I will make note that it was noble of him to go and congratulate Manning, even though it was after numerous tantrums. That said, my opinion of him has not changed and I still enjoyed him losing. Gave me the jollies. As I understand, gave a lot of folks the jollies.

I believe that name comes from his Auburn days. I don't remember the exact story and I don't know how it even came about. I think there was a rumor that there was some $$$ exchanged that shouldn't have been and Cam was somehow involved. I'm guessing that nothing came of it since his Heisman hasn't been taken away and none of Auburn's wins while he was there have been vacated. It's probably just the nick-name Alabama fans made for him because he was playing for their most hated opponent. Essentially, people who don't like Cam for whatever reason will call him Scam Newton. I think it's unwarranted but I don't know the details.
