All I posted was a statement by a college coach who said basically the same thing Living4Fall said. Of course, he's just a college coach. What would he know? I'm sure you're much more informed! Jeez! Chill!
I can say this is not a new development for DHall.. I was with my family at a deli in the ATL area when Hall was just out of school with the Falcons. He was there, with his significant other and they were meeting with someone about some business and eating sandwiches (my assumption through general observation as I did not eavesdrop). As they were leaving, he noticed my daughter wearing a VT sweatshirt and flashed a big smile to us. I spoke up and said we were all excited that he was in ATL and looked forward to seeing him on the field. He was very polite and teased my daughter about getting a Falcon sweatshirt too. Great kid, very humble and well spoken. Personally, I consider him a true credit to our school. Don't forget, he committed to the Hokies early too and actually helped in recruiting KJ to join him in the class... Too many people got turned off by his on field bravado and judged his emotional style too harshly.
No worries... I'm not trying to get into all of my personal and/or professional networkings on a place like this. The common ground here is that we are all, in some way shape or form, Hokies.
marcb2 is correct in that "there is little to support the evidence" that I'm suggesting. I don't disagree with that at all. My only thing was that my original point could still be a reality, and in my experience, sometimes is.
In any event, it's awesome to see the staff lock in on a big time Va recruit early in the cycle. I do happen to think it will have an impact later on as they try to close on some other guys. Again, only my opinion.
with a name like that he's gotta be an Ace recruiter. I mean, who wouldn't Kermit to play for him?

It's the little things in basketball that often separate losing and winning. This kinda made my day that Buzz said that was his play of the game. Love it.
good interview but would be extremely disappointing if he ends up being the one.

Maryland's 2016 class is a good example of 1-2 kids putting a lot of pressure on local elite talent to stay in state, that relatively panned out( and had Locksley been retained would have paid out in spades)

I look forward to the next few years, as to me the funnest seasons are the ones where you beat expectations, like BBall this year.

Never qualifying for a bowl game? Finishing 2-10 in the Metro in Basketball? Never winning a post season BBall game, not even conference tournament when we qualified? Last stretch has been a down time, but better then my time at school.
Horse hockey. What's he going to say...that they're both going to Marshall because it's one of the few programs where they could be eligible to play right away?
They signed one 4* kid in this class...Yulee (and how Reavis isn't a 4* when he would have been the incumbent starter at a power 5 program LAST SEASON tells you how big a grain of salt the ratings should be taken with). So precisely zero elite recruits followed him. When Marshall starts getting 4* qualifiers straight out of HS, then we've got a story.

Also food for thought, was Mr. Gentry's attention split from his S&C task and running a "retail" physical rehabilitation business? Not claiming it was, just wondering. I know how it is for me trying to to two things at once, usually ending up not doing either all that well.
