If my son wanted to play football at UVA, I would respect his decision and support him in every way, but I'd sure as hell be sporting head-to-toe VT gear at the announcement and every single one of his games.

THat's what I tell people complaining about this class. Look back at that 2011 class 0 QB, 1 OL, 1 WR. This class fills a lot of holes, maybe not with as many or as highly ranked as we would like, but it is an okay class for Fuente's first year

Believe there are plans for this already in the works.
I would love to see our in house production capabilities get to the point where we can have ESPN3 level or better production and ability to watch the vast majority of VT sports on an in-house internet feed. Not sure how the licensing stuff vs an ACC network would work out, but when there is crap on TV I would like to be able to watch VT wrestling, baseball, track and field, tennis, and maybe even some golf or softball, on my TV though the screen mirror function on the apple laptop. Sell the freak out of adds for revenue to pay for it, but promote these programs and let me watch it.

# | OT: Where would you like to see money spent on VT sports programs? Look to see what schools like Clemson are doing to fill those roles and copy it.
If I'm not mistaken, someone posted a list in recent weeks of all the recruiting positions Clemson has, and its around 30 positions long.
Absolutely they matter. Has the devil, Nick Saban won 4 national championships since '09?
No doubt, developmental prospects can be big-time hits. But the overall top-to-bottom class quality is crucial for depth. Stars, as stupid as they sound, are decided by folks with a lot of experience watching high school players and their adjustment to the college game. You are certainly not doing yourself a disservice by signing players who 'the experts' agree are pretty damn good.
Football is the one sport that I truly care about, although basketball is also on my radar. From a purely "what I care about" standpoint, as much funding to football and basketball as possible once the other teams have the funding that they need. This includes anything to improve the experience and Lane and Cassell.
