I'm not gonna express concern with the recruiting problems, rather just say that you can't deny that today was disappointing. After that basketball choke last night and getting trolled by more than a few recruits, today has been tough so far. Hopefully it'll be a small bump in the road. Biggest key will be winning a good amount of games next season.

I'm not going to question the negative emotions here today and I'm certainly not calling anyone out... I definitely share the sentiment of "wow, we sure missed today". However "you dance with the one you brought". All of these young men are Hokies, these are young men who decided to study at and suit up for Virginia Tech. These are the young men that we will be paying to watch over the next few years, so let's show them a little bit of love.
Let's make sure we are supportive of these guys while we are voicing our concerns about the recruiting struggles in Blacksburg.
I do believe that winning on Saturdays will have the greatest impact on recruiting in the near future.
This times 1000. If we see success on the field we will see success on the recruiting trail. We have a coach and staff that pride themselves in their ability to develop talent in house and hopefully they can do just that. If they can manage to have a couple of successful seasons with the talent that is already here, break even in recruiting for a couple years and manage to compete for the ACC Championship by the end of year 2, our recruiting should see a sizable uptick.
Pretty sure we're less than 24 hours removed from the announcement of 4 additional recruiting staff... but yeah, sure, let's just keep going on about how we need more change in recruiting as if nothing's happening.
College Wrestling is all about control. So to be in a bad position for a split second is not bad. Its when you are controlled in positions, thats when points get awarded.
