Lord willing, etc. , etc... Hokie fans are going to be pleased with Deablo. Raised well, and he's a man on the field. Tabor's QB just didn't have the arm to toss him the ball downfield much. Coaches did everything they could to get him the ball in space... which is a really good idea.

That family meeting must have happened right before he sat down at the signing table this morning. He apparently had a VT jacket on right before the signing. I'm not saying it wasn't a family decision, but wearing the jacket there this morning and then changing at the last minute sure seems like trolling.

Thanks. Wiles mentioned that he thinks he can get up to 250 and seemed pretty excited saying that we beat out some big schools for him. Wiles did mention his twitch as a positive FWIW.

try going to hokiesports.com and then at the bottom of the page under "Today's Live Events" you can click on the "Watch On HokieXtra" under the Singing Day Live box.

I wish I had his senior film to watch. Junior year he played more inside. He looks like a physical guy. Nice wingspan. I don't think he is as twitchy as some of the past recruits, yet given how much the DE's slid inside in the Bear last season, having a guy who may not be as twitchy but is gap sound and plays heavier in the gap is an asset. I think he can be a contributor. I like him more than I did Fullwood last season, and as I mentioned above, Gaines is more suited to that stand up edge role rather than being a DE who has to sometimes slide inside to a 3 tech in the bear.

One thing about Taylor and the DE targets late (Bailey and Fox), all three were heavier guys that won with physicality rather than burning and bending around the edge.

Many folks have forgotten about Trevon Hill as well. If healthy, I think he is going to be a huge difference maker.

That's where I was before. page has a video of "national women in sports day"

As much as it galls me, I'm going to take a breath and surmise that a Bailey family meeting decided this late. I'm in the "best for my family" camp.

I refuse to believe that a kid treated as well as we have treated Bailey would actively, elaborately embarrass us. The idea that this was a long con is ludicrous. Just not gonna pin that on a kid who clearly has external factors to consider.

The only thing I wonder is if Fuente was just as surprised as everyone else when the announcement came. If he did actually commit to us on Sunday, which is becoming the consensus above, then surely he would have let CJF know that his mother and brother were family and had swayed his decision.

I can't blame the kid for sticking with family. I believe he really like Virginia Tech and wanted to come here, but family is more important than anything. If momma and brother want you to stick together, then I fully respect his decision.

It would have hurt more if he stayed with Florida or went somewhere else. At least this decision makes sense. If he's good enough, he'll make it to the NFL no matter where he goes. Best of luck to him and his brother.

Fuente interview on ESPN2 at 1:40. Will anyone be able to capture and post the segment? I'll be in a meeting.

I love it...

Now all I need to know to feel like Im in the room is, what color shirt is John Laser wearing?
