My high school physics teacher was a Tech grad in ME. He took us to see Dr. Arp's baby respirator and a a hologram the ME Department had. Way back about 1975.
To think we could have been using that hologram as a recruiting tool way back then. Imagine a player seeing himself as a hologram with a photoshopped Hokie uniform on. Oh what could have/can still be.
100% agree. This class won't be the most flashy but I think it will be an important one especially with the kids who are already enrolled.
Boy do people go off the deep end on this day. Already seen 2 people on Twitter questioning Fuente and saying next year in recruiting is his name or break year, I mean come on.
Nothing 10 wins can't fix.
French,
as you well know LB recruiting has been a sore spot among many of TKP faithful. It has certainly lacked in recent years. But even when we do sign quality guys at that position, they don't "pan out". Do you see that trend moving in a different direction with the guys coming in this year at the LB position?

Yes, Clay Dean, Jarrot Hewitt and TJ Jackson all committed but no letter yet and LB Carter has yet to decide.
People have extremely short memories when it comes to college football. We landed the number 1 juco QB in the nation...a couple kids dont pick us in the few weeks the staff had to make an impact and all of a sudden its a train wreck ha. I think well be okay. Not many coaches are able to make huge impacts on hires with quick turnarounds. I thought he did a completely underrated job of keeping and enrolling all the early commitments.
Yeah. I can't blame the dude for sticking with his family but I can blame the dude for being a major troll. It's really only disappointing to me for that reason.
Pine, Carter, Pigrome, and Durr.
Dean, Hewitt, and Jackson are verbals.
Pigrome, Pine, Durr, and Carter still in the mix (to varying degrees).
I'm going to bookmark this page so I will remember next year to not get too excited before NSD. You just can't believe everything you read from a kid.
My mouth is currently full of crow, no worries over here
They like to have fun and get seen. Instagram likes and Twitter followers are validation for 17 and 18 year old kids now. Sad times.
They took that Iowa caucus to heart. I have to imagine if we offered his brother they would both be coming here. Oh well. As someone posted on the other thread there has to be something more than him trolling VT. It obviously is important for family and as stated in aforementioned post, if their mom can only afford to travel to one school or something like that it makes sense. Hate to lose him but what can you do.
I hate NSD.
There, there. It will be OK. I made you some pigeon pie.
not to mention former Emory & Henry OC Tom Manning.
Most of Fuente's pass structure features one QB read and quick dig routes. With Lynch, Memphis also featured lots of back shoulder throws against man coverage (again, one read.) I think Fuente recognized the need for depth and liked the big group of bodies that VT had already targeted. The big kids also hopefully will translate to more YAC in the screen game (and better blocking in front of it.)
I am very high on Eric Kumah. Lots of folks I respect love Deablo. With him, the film makes it tough to get a read because his QB play wasn't terrific.
Are we still waiting on anyone? Either guys we expect to sign or guys we might flip?
Who's to say he was trolling? Maybe he really loved VT and the new coaching staff, but in the end decided that playing with his brother was the best choice for him?
I hope he does well. These kids don't owe VT or ANY OF US anything.
This would hurt a whole lot less if it weren't for what he has been tweeting for the past week or two.
This Rodgers has the 'D'.
True, how do you think Fuente feels right now. He spent the time to get to know these kids and then they do that? That's kind of a heartless thing to do when you think about it that way. But that's what the kids do these days I guess.

Yeah but always having people say they like someone else better than us always hurts no matter what....of course we're all biased so there is that.
