I'm with HOAT on this one. I hope this strategy won't backfire but I think we get screwed by some recruits in the years to come because of it.
I would prefer an early signing date of Sept 1st with official visits allowed mid Jan of junior year. That would keep coaches from throwing out offers left and right.
According to a 247 bolt (Free) where Belmar was interviewed, Tomon Fox is sitting down and talking with his parents this week. Was quoted as saying "Wish I had made it up to Blacksburg sooner." His decision is expected to be made on NSD. Might not know until the LOI is in.

Appears Fox is thinking hard. Hope he has time to think it through which I think would lead to a flip to the good guys.
play.hokies may very well be unrelated to ATXhokie but I just found his defense of ATXhokie to be strangely suspicious.
Since I for no reason but to have understood that a coin does indeed have two sides have been involved and accused of being a troll I would like to briefly say that despite your suspicions, why not just give it a rest? Sometime we might meet and have a beer and I'll tell you what it was like to be a Tech student about the time you were born. I'll also tell you some Jimmy Sharp, Bruce Arians, Rick Razzano stories. As well, I'll relate the elation of seeing Don Strock throw for over 500 yards as a young high school kid. If you still think you're on the right track about me, go back to the loss against UNC (might have been Pitt) and see some things I said. Boy, was I pissed and posted some things that in reflection made me think my TKP time was limited in minutes at most. I regret saying those types of things, not that I felt something that was an outlier opinion might not be unreasonable (even if I personally didn't feel that way). I'm not here to play to the gallery, but as you have pointed out civility is a nice thing to have in an interactive forum.
that's beautiful

Isiah Ford is a big one, originally committed to Louisville. 4/7 prospects on campus this weekend are committed elsewhere and we have a good shot of flipping 2-3 of them
Chris Durkin comes to mind. But it appears that we are well-positioned to flip a couple this year.
Spurrier can pull it off IMHO
Do we have an examples of where we flipped a guy that was committed to another school?
We should see a few of them tomorrow.
I was going to mention something similar. It seems very cutthroat.
Do we have an examples of where we flipped a guy that was committed to another school? I certainly hope that if that is Fuente's policy after a player commits to VT, that he is not going out and recruiting players that are committed elsewhere...
Not gonna lie, this caught me completely off guard. I immediately thought that ole Connor was in for some serious heckling. Then remembered how big he is and doubted if anyone would comment. Then I remembered that this was a public tweet and thought oh hell yeah he's gonna be skewered. Skimming the tweet thread did not disappoint.

I think the key point is Fuente is not yanking an offer he isn't accepting an offer if a kid isn't sure yet.
Anyone who wants to flip to or from VT should have to perform this before moving forward.
He got offered by Oklahoma right away
Yeah. Wishful thinking on my part

LB Riley Cole decommitted from Bama after they asked him to grey shirt a couple days ago. I see we haven't offered him, but we're still pretty thin at LB, right? Any chance he gets a look from the staff?
Good to see that The Wyatt has become a trending hairstyle in AZ.
NOICE
Happy he ended up at Florida. From what I heard, at one point he wasn't a take for the Gators, then they missed on some prospects higher up on their board, and now they'll accept his LOI. Typical 'Crutin.
I love Fuente's approach in theory. But I'm not sure it's going to be a reliable approach in the future. Crootin' appears to be more and more of a free-for-all anymore, so here's hoping his strategy won't backfire too much.
"Netflix and chill" has violations written all over it!
It was a Netflix & Chill kind of night with @CoachJim4UM @umichfootball @espn #sleepover pic.twitter.com/yezUaYc6bK— Connor Murphy (@CMurph_90) January 20, 2016
Egbert is correct.
Cheating is cheating, even if the NCAA doesn't enforce their rules with proportionate punishment.
That's not circular logic. Just because there isn't adequate punishment doesn't mean a law wasn't broken.
For an example, see "illegal immigration".
Also, I have no idea who Primes is, so I guess he/she got caught in the crossfire after one comment.
How Virginia Tech flips players

Rodgers cancelled his OV to Rutgers after his visit to Tech, seems like that means he is either committing to VT or sticking with ODU. Gotta think VT is in good shape here
