As a professional recruiter, the only way to run recruit is have an open door policy and be as trasparent as possible and make sure that the people you recruit are as transparent with you as you are with them. Otherwise you get crap with guys backing out last minute.
I believe shirts they were last night were not Buzz quote shirts but rather shirts given out to the team by Chris Herren. There is a 30 for 30 on him, he was a great basketball player that threw it all away to his addiction. Now he his a motivational/guest speaker travelling the country.
That 315 is from signing day last year. He is still listed at 359 on Hokiesports.

This sounds a lot like the policy of Beamer. I am a fan of this open and honest attempt. It's fair for not just the school but to other recruits.
Wasn't this Frank's philosophy as well?
I was hoping I would see this one here, love it!!!
I heart Buzz.
Not hearing much good news on Ross, and literally nothing on Rodgers (we have a thread dedicated to him but everyone there is still - STILL - talking about "trolls") but everything I've heard on Durr and Fox has been encouraging.
Re Wells - we have a WR-rich class so far (not even counting ATHs). He'd be the cherry on top of that group, but if we miss it wouldn't be the end of the world IMO. And yeah, Stanford is a tough school to beat esp if it's Powell's dream school. It would just be terrific to close on a big wish-list guy. Sets a nice precedent for the CJF Era. Thanks guys
Love it. I've been wondering if there are any NCAA rules about having to wear official team apparel on the bench? I think it's great that Buzz has all of of the quote and awareness T-shirts made, and it's not something I have seen with other teams.
well-articulated repete, always good observation from the hardcourt

# | Wrestling Grudge Match: Hokies travel to Charlottesville to Clobber the Hoos! I thought about it. I just didn't want to come off as an A-Hole. Maybe the person running the Twitter account has other responsibilities during matches, but it would be nice to have updates more often.
Edit: I do agree that they do a great job letting people know when the matches are and key matchups.
Figured - I would just feel so much better with one more OL.
Saw that Cannon is a load - maybe he'll end up being a dude. Here's hoping.
I actually think it is the opposite Rodgers/Durr/Ross/Fox are in the air although the former two are likely trending hokies offensively Pigrome seems to be the only realistic target left Wells and Powell seem like serious stretches
I disagree that LeDay looked sluggish from the tip. He was playing well coming out of the gate and really was the only one scoring in the first 7 minutes of the game. For that reason, I don't see how you could put this loss solely on him. How about Hudson? Why is he so miserably inconsistent? One night he can be your best player and show flashes of a young D Wade, and the next you barely remember he's on the floor. Offensively we were average last night, but defensively we were miserable. Perimeter defense continues to be this team's most obvious flaw. Seems like other team's best shooting nights come at the behalf of our shoddy defensive efforts.
On the positive side, at least Allen was great last night. He can be incredibly frustrating to watch at times, but if not for him we would have lost by 40 yesterday.
I get that we want to get to the bottom of the whole "trolling" thing - can we do it on its own thread?
Seeing 6 new comments...then 5 more new comments...and getting here to find that we're STIIIIIIILL talking about these (borderline) trolls is boring. And OT. And EXACTLY what trolls want, if you're concerned about that.
Back to football, folks? Please? We should be much more concerned with the commitment status of Tyree Rodgers.
Don't think we are in it at all for Pridgeon and/or Dickerson.
Austin Cannon was given a preferred walk-on position. Coaches were extremely impressed with him through the first week of winter workouts. 6'3" 300 lbs.
The highpoint of last night's game, as noticed by Joey Coogan.

You, and Stanford especially, can never have too many OL
Sucks, but if April 16th didn't stop the upward trend in school rankings, and incoming class size I don't think this will either.
i believe prep school doesn't cut into eligibility and you can leave after .5-1 year. JUCO i believe you have to stay the whole two years and are only able to play two once you leave. (i'm pretty sure this is the basics of it, but not 100%)
It's the T-1000 version of HOAT.
See now I'm just gonna get pissed every time they flash to another recruit picking up a non-VT hat
All my #sources are secondhand, so anything I'd purport to know? I don't "know". With that said: I feel like I have a fairly good idea defensively. Offensively, not so much.
Pigrome seems to be generally trending to us, but Maryland still in it. Is there any traction to the notion that Rick Wells could follow Bailey to the good guys? Also looking for info on Tyree Rodgers, and hoping like hell we can snag one of these undecided OL (Powell, Pridgeon, even Dickerson).
And speaking of OL, can someone explain the Austin Cannon situation to me?
Thanks in advance - and thanks to the TKP brain trust for all their hard work.

Wells is solid with Florida after his visit this past weekend there according to Gator Country
