As if there isn't a major interstate that runs through SWVA and a host of other means for riffraff to move along through the state without an association to VT. Not to mention the epidemic that is meth and all the issues it brings and this tool thinks VT is the issue. His motto should be:
"I don't always think stupid thoughts but when I do i post them on Facebook." If this guys not associated with the family and lashing out in grief or anger then the depths of his irrationality are astounding.
I'm sure he does. I think a good offensive coach understands that it all starts up front.
As solid as he looks to Pitt on his twitter, just looks like a kid who conjured up some competition to raise the level of intrigue for NSD.
Not sure how I feel about people complaining about the recruits. They get the short end of the stick.
Coaches lie all the time to recruits, play around with numbers and pull scholarships. Then assistants will wait until after singing day to officially leave to ensure that recruits will stick with their school:
Signing day 2015 was perhaps most notable for the fact that last-minute coaching departures upended the plans of several blue-chip prospects, some of whom felt misled by the staffs they had planned to sign with. Four-star linebacker Roquan Smith committed to UCLA on NSD but eventually flipped to Georgia after his primary recruiter took an NFL job. Five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson balked at sending in his NLI when Florida's defensive line coach left but came on board once the new coach was announced. Four-star running back Michael Weber felt misled by Urban Meyer and then-Ohio State running backs coach Stan Drayton, who took a job with the Chicago Bears just hours after Weber's NLI came in; unlike Jefferson and Smith, Weber had no recourse because he'd already put pen to paper.
Then once in college they are punished if they transfer as the school can dictate where they go and they have to sit out a year...whereas coaches (who are getting paid millions) can come and go as they please.
It is a totally unfair system, from top to bottom, and the power is not in the hands of the players and I'm not going to spend my time wringing my hands over 17-18 year olds.
And that one OL never played a single play. This is mind -boggling , and some wonder why this team has struggled so much the past few years. Hopefully , Fuente understands the need for an offense and offensive line.
Was just about to post. Keep in mind that he told PittGuru "H2P for life," earlier today. Could just be tired of answering the question.
Based on his size he may be able to block out the sun and hide our linebackers from view~ sort of a settle- eclipse of the sun
He has said recently he was solid with Pitt, so I don't think there is any reason to get excited about that deal. That ship has sailed. Just sayin.
UPDATE (3:09 PM)-
**Considering he was in the news this weekend, I sent a message to linebacker Chase Pine and asked him where things stood with Pitt and his recruitment. Also asked him if he knows where he's going to sign? He replied, "Yes". I followed up with, Where are you going to sign, he said, "Surprise."
That's the update on Pine that PghSportsNow posted. Not behind a paywall, hope thats within the rules, Joe!
hm. doesn't look too good since that's a Pitt twitter..
Just received an interesting message from Chase Pine. Will share it with you on @PghSportsNow— Pgh Sports Now (@PghSportsNow) February 1, 2016
Because speculation is fun.

I thought the last point about how rankers are actually better than they used to be was particularly interesting.
Yup and original info is straight from HokieSports.com: http://www.hokiesports.com/staff/#Football.
Ally La Rocque, Recruiting Assistant
Matt Transue, Assistant Director, Player Personnel/Recruiting
Ally worked in Premium Seating Staff at Virginia Tech from August 2015 until January when she moved into her new role.
Thanks! I really liked the Bud 5 things you didn't know about me segment, felt like he was more personable and put more thought into it than some of the other guys
Here is better than anywhere. Gobblertown is reporting that Virginia Tech has hired Matt Transue as Assistant Director of Player Personnel & Recruiting. Matt was formerly with the Memphis Redbirds, which is a St. Louis Cardinal's affiliate teams. Fuente had said there would be one recruiting staff member joining. They are also saying Ally La Rocque is joining as a football recruiting assistant, with her job focusing on logistics. As a reminder until Whit got here we practically had no recruiting support staff
Looking at the 2010 and 2011 offensive talents makes it obvious why we went downhill, one OL in 2011!
I agree I wouldn't 'commit' until I was 100% sure about my choi
I think ultimately that is what Fuente wants his recruits to do. If recruit isn't willing to shut down visits, etc, then don't commit. Once recruit commits, be committed by the definition of the word. However, I don't think kids will care and will still commit and then shop some more.
Well I just lost it in my cube at work, this dam story has brought me to tears. I've been struggling with this story all day and just attempting to fathom the devestation that this disgusting and horrific act has inflicted on her family, friends and the Blacksburg community. RIP Dear Nichole Madison Lovell. We will light some candles by the river for you tonight. Thoughts to Family and Peace to All.
VTJ12 gets a leg for moribund..sheesh!!
DB
You think? I see two guys wasting a ton of perfectly good beer while Hogan is trying to get every last drop.
End result is the same. Still don't see where we are going to get 4 other guys to greyshirt and/or prep, other than Dean and maybe Carter I guess, every other recruit has other P5 offers even Jackson
