I'm not sure when these pictures were taken, but some of the branding suggests they were relatively recent. Of course, "Beamerball" will have to change, but it seems the school is already investing in this.

until you marry someone, you can date any person you like
I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply once you've accepted a marriage proposal.
I wholehearted disagree but respect your opinion.
I read this as "has anyone done the meth yet,..." and had to do a double-take
That's pretty incredible.

It's all good. Christmas is coming on Wednesday. We're all excited to see what we get. And not that I think he will be a game changer for our Hokies, but I hope we get Tyree, and get him into his best position, whatever that might be.
Up here in PSU country they used to talk about how they'd recruit the right way and there was sort of a gentleman's agreement amongst the Big Ten schools that they wouldn't try to poach recruits from one another. SEC teams didn't care and reeled in their committed guys.
Now since Meyer arrived at OSU, PSU got Franklin, and Harbaugh went to Michigan, the PSU folks are realizing that the old ways aren't going to be respected anymore and that you gotta do what you gotta do.
The PSU die-hards up here aren't all that happy with it but by and large they appear to be resigned to the fact that they need to live in the world as it is, not in the world they wish it to be.
When it comes right down to it, I think we're hitting that realization as well and I agree that I hope we ultimately blend a principled approach to recruiting in the way the game is played when it comes to crootin'.
Not an issue in my mind. The numbers always work out.
Nobody knows, too many factors at play:
- early enrollees can count against last year. No idea how to figure out how many can count against last year.
- current players are transferring. More than Trey Edmunds. Maybe a lot more.
- current commits are greyshirting. Maybe as many as five.
- greyshirt players from last recruiting class (Hoyt, others?) have enrolled.
I really don't expect it will be a problem. We will likely have too few scholarship players this spring, not too many.
Not blaming the result of the game on the refs at all, but they did not call a good game last night. If every call was correct, Pitt still wins this game maybe by even more points, they played well.
Yes our D is not great, but what can you expect from the size of players Buzz has to work with. LeDay and Shane Henry usually have to cover the big man of the opposing teams. Guys like UNC's - Meeks, NCU's - Anya, Duke's - Plumlee, etc. Guys that physically are as big as if you combine Henry and LeDay into one person. I think Buzz realizes this and has put a team on the court that can't stop an offense in it's tracks consistently, but can create steals and missed shots that turn into fast breaks and fouls. I think he has designed it this way to give us a chance at winning games.
Has anyone done the math yet, how many open schollies do we have? I see we have 19 current commits including the 8 spring enrollees, is 11 our remaining limit?
We have a new AD now and have for enough time that if VT was going to get one they would have. A lot of people don't seem to care.
I can't tell if you're accepting my apology or not. At any rate, I think we're all tired of talking about trolls..man I hate the off-season.
It is small inside but they have a new outdoor seating area called
the Pig Pen. But haven't sat out there yet so not sure what it's like.
God it smells so good there...and they have live music a lot now.
If you're interested in looking at other trailers just scroll through NCAA Trucks on Twitter. Some really neat and creative stuff.
Two. More. Days...
Could it have been the two, Durkin and Ford, both made some overtures back towards us? Durkin had a connection to Lefty and wasn't the situation at Michigan State quarterback bloated with him low man on the pole? As well, maybe Ford was concerned about Louisville without Bridgewater and heard that we Hokies were getting a hotshot gunslinger from Texas Tech? I honestly don't know, but maybe it wasn't outright poaching and fell in a gray area and Beamer and staff took gentlemanly advantage.
Any one or institution that relies on Facebook or Twitter comments for their reputation has bigger issues than their reputation.
This definitely sounds honorable, but I can't help but be worried that with a policy like this we're attacking recruiting with one hand tied behind our backs.
The resemblance is scary.

Ahh yes, Isaiah Ford was a big flip for us, and recent too.
Hmm... just seems a little 'going against what you preach to the kids' but i also believe that it is necessary to target anyone who may fill a need on the roster, even though they are committed elsewhere.
I mean - (for most people) until you marry someone, you can date any person you like (with and without repercussions of course)

Or at least once you've faxed in your contract and deposit on a venue...
