If you don't cheat you aren't winning and you aren't trying, and I'm proud to say Tennessee is cheating.
I find this to be a truly deplorable way to approach life. It seems especially distasteful when part of the mission of collegiate athletics is to teach and provide young people with an example for how to live.
They were absolutely dominate tonight. The spider monkey, also known as Joey Dance was once again 'bananas'. I can't wait to watch him, along with Walz, at the NCAAs.
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy hearing how the wrestling squad is performing. What Coach Dressler is doing there is amazing and fun to watch. It's a great day when we "pin the 'eers back."
Good thing our coaching staff went down to Oxford trade coaching secrets with them /s
Ole Miss is well known for using casino chips. Being so close to Tunica it makes it an easy target. They're untrackable and maybe a recruit or parent of one, just "got hot at the blackjack table" one night.
I'll also say that all schools cheat. If you don't cheat you aren't winning and you aren't trying, and I'm proud to say Tennessee is cheating. That said, when someone else is caught, it is an unwritten rule that you must ridicule them like your program is perfect.
Preach
1. If you want up-to-the-second recruiting info, support the people who are doing the work and pay for it.
2. Follow the community guidelines with regards to downvoting, or you will lose your account privileges on TKP.
This has GOT to be the NCAA right now

# | Dozens of 2016 Prospects Trek to Tech for One Last Week of Visits Ahead of Signing Day A lot of times I think it is more that the guy's film hasn't really been evaluated there are only a few guys who evaluate prospects in the entire country for these recruiting sites and once you get past the high 3*+ I don't think much evaluation goes into them. Being offered by a bigger school will kick start that evaluation process a good example might be Silas Dazansi, he wasn't rated at all on 247 and was a 2* on rivals whose only offer was from Delaware state (and had been pulled) after he committed to VT and his senior film was examined he was bumped up to a high 3*.
Spoken like a true Stark.
I don't know a whole lot about wrestling, but it looks like the Hokies put a bunch of Cousins on their hips tonight. That was a whupping, in the scientific nomenclature.
WR: #10 Hokies dominate West Virginia, 32-3: Tech grapplers win nine of 10 bouts in top to bottom victory https://t.co/4s9Pa44NI6— HokieSports (@hokiesports) January 30, 2016
That's actually pretty good.
All I can say about Rivals is Budd Thacker. He committed to VT as a 2 star DT. When he flipped to Florida State he suddenly became a 4 star. It seems to me that so often kids are boosted based on where they end up.
If it's rude to enforce the limited set of rules TKP has in place, then so be it.
The 2016 Ford Lawvans Moturkin
Sal Mastriani had a great outing tonight. He has had a rough season so far but absolutely outclasses his opponent with a technical fall awarded at the end of the second. It should boost his confidence tremendously going in to the rest of ACC play. The Hokies will need him if they want to repeat as regular season ACC champs.
One of the highlights of the night was the cadet vs cadet wrestling matches during the intermission, officiated by Hokie great Devin Carter.
Any day we beat WVU is a good day. To crush them makes it a great day.
Freshman year 2004 was a fun season, we had zero expectations, almost beat #1 USC, beat top ten WVU, stormed the field, got in a fight with an old dude and a cane in a WVU sweater, made it to the sugar bowl, acc title, and every game was great, comebacks, close games, offense pulling out tricks. That season started a hell of a run.

# | Dozens of 2016 Prospects Trek to Tech for One Last Week of Visits Ahead of Signing Day Fox is visiting or at least that was what the recruiting services are saying it is always fluid, he is teammates with Belmar. Rodgers, an ODU commit, was offered yesterday and immediately got on a plane and flew to Blacksburg so that is encouraging, he goes to Rutgers after us. Marlon Character is also visiting, Auburn commit. Chase Pine is scheduled to visit, a VA pitt commit, but there seems to be a lot of doubt if he actually shows. There is also a OLinemen in New Jersey Hennesey (sp) that Vice has been to see a few times and people think will get an offer if Powell or Johnson fall through
Keith Simms is the only other name to know, Bud loves him and has reportedly recruited him more intensely than anyone but Hand, he is down to ORegon and VT and announcing sometime this weekend.
Edit:Per mod request it looks like Character didn't make it. Looks like he is the only non VT commit not to make it
Thanks, I appreciate it. I just didn't have time to write much.
Update: the Hokies are rolling so far
125 #3 Joey Dance took care of business vs #13 Zeke Moisey 9-5. Moisey was NCAA runner up last year
133 Gustafson scores a major decision 9-1.
141 Redshirt freshman #10 Chisko puts on a takedown clinic and wins big 20-6
149 Sal Mastriani has had a disappointing season thus far, but he absolutely dominated winning by tech fall 17-1
157 #4 Nick Brascetta won by major decision over #16. 19-6. I was worried about this one because of how long Brascetta has been out due to injury.
165 True freshman #11 Dave McFadden wins 9-2.
174 #3 Zach Epperly won 9-3. It was good to see him back.
184 Austin Gabel wins 3-1 with a last second takedown. This was the first match tech trailed in. He was down 1-0 in the first period.
197 Jared Haught is not wrestling tonight so Tech sent out freshman Dylan Cook to face off against the #7 ranked wrestler. Cook lost 8-2. This gave WVU their first win of the night.
285 On senior night with the match wrapped up Dresser sent out senior Dan Garwood, rather than the stud #2 Ty Walz. Garwood wins 7-5. Nice to see the senior go out with a win.
Hokies win 32-3

I prefer to write Haiscream
Some like Haikookies

Its not a way to approach life, but it is a way to approach college recruiting. If it takes out-bidding another school for a recruit, then so be it. The days of "student first, athlete second" are long gone. If you wanna win, you gotta have the best players, if you want the best players, sometimes you gotta do what it takes.
