Technicality: the ban hammer is when Joe eliminates someone's account regardless of their TL count. That is final and happens at Joe's discretion and only Joe's discretion. There is no community input.

This was a case of being down voted below the threshold where he could make any more comments. Obviously, the mod's -10 votes helped that along, but looking at his string of comments, I'm pretty sure he would have been below -25 anyway. That's community policing. If people in the community (or his other screen names) disagree, then upvote the comments to balance out the down votes and he's reinstated.

All depends on where he goes. Macho was blessed with perfect situation as VT was in need of CB when he arrived. I'd put Wallace at WR myself. He's not going to start at WR at Clemson next year. With all OSU loses out wide, he might be able to see the field for them. Cincy, I'd assume he'd play as a freshman in some capacity. Interesting to see where he lands. Hopefully we'll talk about this next year. If its more like 4 years before his name comes up, that might mean that I won't want to talk about it, lol.

I hope lefty's does better there than the last couple tenants (Hong Kong Buffet, El Guadelupe)

Eichel is pretty awesome. 2nd pick overall in last years draft and has definitely been living up the hype. Hes top of the rookie class right now with Dylan Larkin , Colton Parayko, and Artemi Panarin. Connor McDavid was the 1st overall pick by the Oilers and was an awesome player to watch up until he unfortunately broke his collar bone - In my opinion Eichel has stepped in along with Larkin to be the face of this year's rookie class. Definitely top tier talent and once he gets some more experience I can see him being an elite play-making forward.

I think Buffalo's main issue this year is that they only have five players that are really worth much (Kane, Ennis, O'Reilly, Eichel, and Ristolainen), and one is injured (Ennis). Their defense situation isnt helping at all right now either. Ristolainen is really the only notable defender along with Bogosian depending on the day. Lehner and Johnson are both competent goalies even though neither is the clear cut starter - they both have decent middle-of-the-pack career numbers but are facing around 33 shots per game. Sabres have high Fenwick/Corsi Against number too which doesn't help when your defense isn't up to par.

ETSU has a partnership with BMS. They often take recruits over there during visits because it is less than 30 minutes from their campus. So they are just taking advantage of that partnership and the fact that there will be a field there for one of their games. Considering ETSU and BMS's relationship, this makes sense. But considering that it's ETSU and Western Carolina without the relationship, it makes no sense at all.

Highland Springs coach is VT alum so it's a shame that we didn't put out offer to him until a few weeks ago. You would think VT coaches would trust the word of one of their former players about a guy like Wallace or Dortch. I'd have taken Dortch strictly as a return man. I don't care what recruiting services say, Wallace is the best skilled player to come out of Highland Springs, better than Macho Harris. VT has to develop that pipeline back to that school. Missed out on WR Felton a few years back to Sparty.

The sad thing is the Bristol field will be a huge upgrade from where ETSU is going to play the rest of its home games. This is pretty stupid, but when you consider ETSU's temporary home is a high school stadium this is probably a blessing for them.

Good for them, hope my visits were an exception, I'll have to try out the new digs.

So I'm a very casual fan of the Sabres which means I don't watch any games...just check box scores and standings. If they ever made the playoffs, I would tune in. I know they're near the bottom of the standings again, but I'm curious to know what everybody thinks of Jack Eichel.

They also have a stadium you have to commute to with a reputation for being ghostly empty. If a kid goes there for coeds, he's just getting a bunch of New Jersey and Long Island transplants.

At worst he was calling people sheep and the whole thing was contained to a single thread. I really don't think that deserves a ban, but hey, that's just me.

If he was thread hopping and actually attacking people rather than just calling them sheep then sure, drop the ban hammer.

well with the exception of the deadskins lately that's the way DC sports goes. Play really well and look like a Championship team in the regular season and then it all falls apart in the playoffs. See Caps/Nationals lately
