I must admit this guy's dedication to trolling TKP is kind of amazing. He consciously opened several accounts ages ago and has just been letting them sit dormant until he feels like messing with us. We have no idea how many more accounts this guy has but his long-term troll game is strong. I can only imagine what motivates him. He's also trying out different strategies which is kind of amusing.
After the shi*shows that were starscream and shockwave he's gone to a multi-faceted attack using ATXhokie as the sacrificial 'shockwave' personality and supplementing it with multiple other trolling accounts simultaneously.
play.hokies is the less bullish and seemingly more level headed account which subtly sympathizes with ATXhokie. The long-con account, if you will. Playing to the "sheeple" with comments like
Enjoy the ride and any laughs you can get out of it. We're tougher than that around here. If it becomes continually disruptive, the admins will know what to do.
but also trying to take some of the heat off of the more obvious troll with statements like
It's not necessarily a stupid opinion, just an unpopular one, and one of those where a guy with multiple accounts could come back later and say "see, I told you so."
TheTwoPercent - yet another shockwave personality..my best guess is the strategy here was "strength in numbers"

1. I banned him yesterday, hours before either of the inquiries here about his status.
2. I did not ban him for his opinion or downvote any of his opinions, nor should anyone else. I downvoted two of his posts that insulted other people; at that point he had clearly demonstrated he was not interested in logical discussion, rather to drop bombs and then fan the flames when people disagreed. Those two -10's put him over the top (or out the bottom, however you like to look at it) to a ban based on the collective effects of others' downvotes.
3. Logical discourse, however intense or opinionated, is always fine here. If your reply to anyone who disagrees with you is to call names and be a jerk, take it elsewhere. There is plenty to discuss about our football program, and if you would like to contend a particular point, please do so and be respectful while doing it. If you present something without any logic whatsoever, and people call you out on a lack of logic, don't dig in and act like a jerk.

Pickett? I'm thinking there are more similarities with Grant as Fuente also has had success in Kentucky, Tennessee (and Ole Miss) and has now been brought East. There's a long, winding slugfest ahead. All I can do is support my team whatever happens in the future.

Speaking of - why couldn't they play the National Championship on a Saturday? I mean, Saturday has always been THE day of the week for College Football. I hate that it's on a Monday night.
I know the argument is going to be "because NFL Wild Card Games are on Saturday and Sunday" but it is easily scheduled around. Put an NFL game at 1:00p Saturday, 4:30p Saturday, and then the National Championship at 8:00 primetime. Invent the Fuente, er, I mean, Future. Problem solved.
