The effort that Fuente & Co. are putting into recruiting is really great to see. Let's finish out this class as best we can, and keep laying that groundwork for the future.

Tech is going to have to start winning battles on the field more consistently before they win them on the recruiting trail.

Been a Caps fan since the age of seven when I went to see Alex Ovechkin's first game at the MCI Center up in DC (now known as the Verizon Center). This is our year to win the Cup. We have great line depth and plenty off good players that can handle the puck well and put the puck in the net. This is our year.

Thinking about Beamer as my ex and Fuente as a hot brunette is making me uncomfortable.

They were definitely calling fouls that were iffy at best, but they were calling the same ones for both teams. It really felt they were calling any contact for a defender, which is super shitty, but they called the same bullshit for Louisville. Reffing definitely did not lose us that game.

Besides, I knew after ten minutes the refs were gonna call that shit all game...and if I knew it I am sure everyone on the team knew it too. If you really think that's why we lost the game, you should probably blame the team for not adjusting.

While I kinda understand some of your concerns, I think judging him on this recruiting class is unfair.

To reiterate, the man has only been here since the season ended. What a couple of weeks? Then the recruiting dead period occurred. He has only officially taken over the program since January 4. It is now January 28. Let's take a wait and see approach for this class and next season.

Look, while I'm glad VT hired an offensive minded coach, I too have concerns about the recruiting and some of his position coaches. But we need to give the man time. I'm sorry, but we are not Alabama, FSU, nor Clemson. We are currently the 5th place team in one of the weakest P5 divisions in the weakest P5 conference. So unless you have some magic formula, or billions of $$$, or a brilliant plan to get either Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Art Briles, Jim Harbaugh (I just threw up in my mouth) or Tom Herman to become the next HC at VT; this is the best coach VT can currently land. And respectfully, I think VT did a pretty good job landing Coach Fuente considering our present condition. I'm mildly optimistic and hopeful for the best with Coach Fuente and his staff. It beats wallowing in despair. I know, I'm from South Korea, I can wallow in despair with the best of them. ;-)

Look at Buzz Williams and VT basketball. He was also hired by AD Babcock and Buzz already has the VT program going in the right direction. The job isn't done, but boy are we competitive and playing with maximum effort. There are green shoots poking through the muck and meyer. Don't give up.

Miami is going to be sharp along with FSU and Clemson. I hope VT is also on that level after this year. We have solid talent and good coaches so I feel like those teams will not be able to walk over us.
