Did the new staff really go after him? I never heard much about him after Beamer retired. I realize he made his official visit under the old staff didn't get the sense that he was a high priority recruit for us. But I was really hoping that we'd land him.
The icing on the cake was probably a quick side by side pic of Blacksburg under snow and Mark Richt on the beach with a beverage in hand... Miami always has so much talent... they just don't know how to bring it together
I'm hoping this is the year the Blackhawks finally put it together in back to back seasons. I'm tired of the whole skipping a year thing. I'd like to see the repeat.
At least VT has Bucky " The Best TE in the ACC" Hodges for another year.

I didn't even know he was considering Miami.
Obviously you can't win every recruiting battle, but I hope that our message is getting to these recruits. I hope these kids are receiving a vibe that this program is up and coming and that we will soon be a strong National contender again. I know most VT fans and most of the TKP community has this feeling of a "Movement," especially since the Fuente hiring. I just hope that this message is being received as so on the recruiting trail.

It's not necessarily a stupid opinion, just an unpopular one, and one of those where a guy with multiple accounts could come back later and say "see, I told you so." In my opinion, it's a bit premature to start railing against a coach who has yet to step on the field and has come into a situation that is not an easy one for a plethora of reasons which has been explored ad nausea here and elsewhere. Short of a Michael Vick, we have boundaries (I could have said limitations) and I'm hoping we can climb over the wall the last coach built for us and push it forward. What some would call 'sheep' talk, I think is natural enthusiasm. It's impossible to say at this point if we have a McClellan, a Meade, or a Grant.

Flying brown ball of pig, bigger than my head is a lot easier to keep up with the a tiny burnt hamburger patty flying around the ice. The glow puck was fun and should be tweaked a bit but it did help. Most of the time I am playing where Waldo with the hockey puck
To be fair, that accomplishment was deemed miraculous. I'd prefer that a VT NC not be branded the same (though I'd take it nonetheless). JF hasn't pulled rabbits out of hats, but I have confidence that he'll build the program such that no rabbits or hats are needed.
At this point when I see a random thread get a ton of comments really, really quickly I immediately temper my excitement and am automatically suspicious...
I call it the Shockwave Effect.
Edit: I see someone beat me out on the Shockwave pun. I should have guessed that I wouldn't be the first to have that idea.
I wouldn't even consider this a decommit the kid said two weeks ago he was committed to us and now he's on to UGA. We were his placeholder. I hope we play UGA in the next 4 years and block one of his punts for TD.
