Fuente hasn't been here but a month and a half, man. Come on. It's unfair to judge him on that. He just got here in Blacksburg. Give the man some time.
I'm not sure why you are surprised that Montreal can't score. Their top 6 is one of the weakest of all playoff contenders honestly. It's Pacioretty and that's about it. When Price went out, the forwards could no longer get away with cheating up the ice, so it comes to no surprise that they are struggling now offensively.
On another topic, we're witnessing the changing of the guard for the new set of superstars breaking into the league. Ovechkin is really the only guy that is keeping up with Seguin, Benn, Tarasenko, Kane, Hall, etc these days. And Karlsson looks to again be a Norris frontrunner.
But please no Hawks/Kings in the finals again. As a Blues fan it is just so depressing seeing those two teams win it every other year.
So I know I will be in the minority here, but I am going to say it anyways. I was all aboard the Fuente bandwagon to start, but I have to say it is looking more and more like a hire that we will regret. Hear me out. Look at the posts here, we are trying to flip Old Dominion recruits, and other 2 and 3 star guys. These may be players that would be gems for Memphis but not here. I think Fuente is over his head. You can say we got Evans, but he too was a guy set to go to Memphis, a team with all do respect, that is not on our level. The offensive recruits that he is after are sub par. And you can say that we have made a living on these recruits in the past, and coached them up, but wasn't the point to bring in a guy that would elevate our talent level. Fuente is getting a ton of credit for TCU's offense, but to be honest while he was there they were not the high flying offense they are now. Also his reputation is hanging on Paxton Lynch, one QB, and now he is some sort of QB whisperer.
I am very disappointed with the recruiting so far. We are setting up for mediocrity, but people are celebrating 2 and 3 star guys. I am talking about the guys Fuente is recruiting not those that were already committed.
Who knew TKP had so many steak snobs? What's wrong with Texas Road house people?
Penguins were playing under a coach that didn't fit the players. A coach that focuses on low scores and defensive games is fine, but not when you have weapons like Sid, Malkin and Kessel.
Since firing Johnson, the Pens have been playing much better. Sullivan lets the stars play to their skills. Crosby has averaged more than a PPG since Sullivan became the coach
Most important though is that the Penguins are finally fun to watch again
Would you like them to make the ball glow too when watching football? Didn't think so.
And there you have the opinion of most hockey fans on the glowing puck cries.

# | Virginia Tech Football Recruiting: Punter Marshall Long Decommits From the Hokies So the kid stays committed and finds out on signing day that the school took too many NLI's and now they want him to go to a Fork Union or come in as a preferred walk-on and he is stuck, how is that for a commitment? School might even offer to return his NLI, but now all the other schools that he might have gone to have filled all their slots for the year. Kid also knows that if he doesn't "commit" the school intends to move on to their next target.
Maybe the word needs to be Reservation.

The youth of today are socialized to believe that they don't have to honor a commitment.

Most of it has to do with money (average professor salaries, number of alumni who donate to the school, endowment, etc). Another really funny thing about schools is the concept of "peer universities." For instance, Ohio State claims that Harvard and Yale are among their peers. I'm not sure the feeling is mutual.

We must have been close because I was just across the aisle from Mook. But I believe that was Terrell.
Royal, Harper, Hyman, and Morgan all graduated after the 2007 season. Clowney graduated after 2006. So that would make sense with your freshman year being 2008.
Dude is flat out FAST! And he makes quick direction adjustments in tight spots. Sweeeetness!

Does anybody really believe that there is an appreciably difference between the #68 and #71 schools (or the #19 & #28 ranked recruiting classes for that matter)? And what exactly changed from 2014 to 2015 that made VT drop a whole 2 spots and and aTM go up a whole 1 spot?
Sure there's a difference between #4 and #70. But #57 and #71?

Lefty's became my favorite place for food when I was in school, but two years after I graduated the fell off a cliff. Hard. I went back maybe 4 times and each one had me waiting over an hour for either under or over cooked food, sloppily prepared, sometimes looking downright lazy. It pained me to not go back but I couldn't trust it anymore. I heard they are expanding soon though so maybe that got their stuff together?
