I mean can't you say, here's our offer. Then the kid sends in his LOI right there if he wants. If he wants to wait and see that's fine. But I agree that would slow everyone down so teams don't offer people they don't really want and kids understand that once they sign an LOI then they are out of touch. Again, with stipulations for coaches leaving, academic reasons by the school or player, etc etc. It's all in the fine print.
Yeah. Adonis Alexander sat behind us with Tremaine Edmunds (the Edmunds boys are great kids btw) and he said 'whats up with all the recruits here'... was glad to hear it.
I was not glad to here Adonis outright cheering for Louisville. It was not in good taste.
I agree. I think Buzz should have put someone on him and not play help D, a contested jumper or lay-up is much better than a drive 'n dump three to a guy who has not missed. I trust Buzzketball to the fullest, but if we had taken away 2 or 3 of those triples, imagine the difference.

Ehhh, how much could visiting 30 kids moms really cost? Maybe that cost $1000/kid? $2,000?
There is a lot of talk about recruiting budgets, but the USAToday article about this fall said we were like $100K short of Clemson. GT had a bigger recruiting budget than Clemson by like $300K.
I would like to know more about where recruiting budget money is spent. Is that in personnel? Travel for recruits further afoot? Food, lodging on official visits? I'm never seen reports of VT not being able to bring kids in on official visits, that seems a lot more expensive than in-home visits.
Not that it means that much but I saw Watkins crystal balled Durr to the good guys this morning.
We ended up eating at The River Company Brewery. Had the ribeye and it was very good!
Just to throw this in there VT doesn't have the budget to put the miles in that those two schools do every year.

You didn't often see kids on Twitter with a living room full of VT coaches, especially Beamer, while we saw other HCs all over the place.
Beamer did a lot of in homes and hospital visits, as LTRepeter mentioned. There was the whole Macho Harris story. But he didn't rack up the miles like Jimbo, Les, and Nick do.

Win or lose, this team is the most exciting to watch team that we've had in the last five years.
Gotcha. 2007 is probably the issue.. 2008 was my freshman year. I remember Royal, Clowney, and Glennon, but haven't heard of Morgan or Harper.

I don't usually root against punters, but I'll be making an exception in this case.
In fact, I'll be rooting against Georgia in general.
I think it's probably because Georgia is a "national" program.

No tutorial needed. I am not unfamiliar with the history of rock guitar playing and equipment. I could quote you chapter and verse about the nuances of pre and post CBS Fenders, etc, etc.
I just didn't know what the phrase meant. I initially read it as though he was saying that SRV was playing with eqpt that Hendrix didn't have access to -- which is mostly untrue except for the Tube Screamer and the flattened neck radius of his guitars.
I have no disagreement that Hendrix was an massive innovator. But I would say Jeff Beck was attempting similar things at around the same time.
