Certainly doesn't help. Most of these were are hopefuls, but if you don't play, you don't win.

If any of them really want to visit VT, I'm sure they can work it out somehow.

It's too bad, that's all.

Yeah exactly. Most of these guys were legit possibilities. Some of them were very likely Hokies imo, although I have no idea now.

My wishful thinking side hopes that someone already made up his mind or committed and was waiting to announce during the visit. Outside of that...

Ehhh, I'd say that any we had a good shot at, we still have a good shot at.

It's easier in person, but if someone is sold, they're sold.

Funny - i was just looking at my account debating whether i should downgrade since I'll be able to watch all of the remaining NFL games.

Edit: and Fly as soon as I find it; didn't know about it, thanks!

I saw something like that yesterday on eastbound 40 in Raleigh - must have been in anticipation of the snow. Probably a toilet paper run gone awry.

Was supposed to fly back to DC from Raleigh on Friday evening. Needless to say I've changed my flight...

It's a huge hit. It really can't be understated how unfortunate this is. There were multiple key targets who we have/had real chances with but will not be able to get on campus now.

Guitarman said in the other thread where everyone was all giddy about the snow, he doesn't expect any of them will make it now, and I agree.

That map is very hard to read. Maybe that's the point.

As a Salemite I have to remind you that our roads are heated and our road crews are top notch.

In beer terms, Weather Channel is like AB InBev, and they purchased Weather Underground, who is like Breckenridge Brewery or Blue Point or someone...

Thanks Hammer- yea, I was researching the EyeSight technology and it sounded pretty amazing stuff. 5 years ago, I wasn't much on the station wagon look, but now it has grown on me, along with the feasibility of having a large area when the seats are folded down.

I remember that day! Lived in Raleigh at the time about 3 minutes from where this picture was taken. I left work as soon as the flakes started falling as my coworkers laughed at the Yankee who's afraid of the snow. I felt completely justified after this picture came out.

I was in the market for a CSUV and I test drove the Forester. The tech in Subaru is awesome, their EyeSight technology (which slows you down if you get too close to someone if you're using cruise control) is amazing. I also have a buddy who was a VT ME who was on the Formula team and he swears by their value and off roading capabilities.

I don't like the look of the car, I'm not a big fan of the station wagon look, and I found the seats to be pretty uncomfortable, but they're definitely quality cars that perform very well in adverse conditions.

Try to get them to come next week, or push for a mid week visit. Definitely really hurts us for some of the bigger named recruits like Pridgeon and Character who are unlikely to cancel their other visits.

Me too. I don't know why they won't let us play with the big kids :(
