They call me Mr Pibb!
This discussion reminds me of a discussion early in my marriage. My lovely Iowa-born spouse brought up how wonderful a place Iowa would be to raise kids...great schools, ideallic weather in summer with low humidity, etc.....my response was that I didn't want to have to go chip the dog off of a tree after he froze in mid leg-lift.
My buddy's dad called him Car Part. Not flashy, but it was the first one I heard and I do enjoy the play on words.
If you can lay the hay, you should surely play. No matter how many stars, what class, what was forcast. That's how it should be.
You are correct, but using this analogy, we wouldn't have cars being designed to collapse and absorb and an airbag wouldn't help. There is only so much protection that can be applied but any help in making a collision lest rigid should be an improvement as long as all the other collision factors aren't worsened. Keeping a slick shell is also essential to promoting glancing blows.
that's what she said!
(it was right there)
what did Ray Lewis call him, Human Highlight Reel? How about "HHR" which if you extend it out could be made to sound like a race car passing by "hhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrruuuuummmmm"
I really liked a nickname a buddy of mine gave him (not a VT fan, BTW):
Driveshaft!
Bills nation has been calling him Tygod. I like that one.
^^ This! That's why T-Mobile never really caught-on at VT - everyone just called him Tyrod
'Sup, Nextel!
If she calls you that, you will be all alone here my friend...
With a name as distinguishable as Tyrod, why use any nickname.
How about.... The BlueStreak

honestly, caring about what an 18 year old kid positively refers to VT as is as meaningful as NCAA caring about fans tweeting recruits. the guidelines will never be enforceable and recruits/fans will do what they want anyway.
who cares. hope he chooses the good guys first, THEN care what name he uses.
I'm with fireman here. We don't need concrete sources (i wish #sauces would die already by the way), but when making a contradictory post, which appears to have merit in this case, it helps to know what information it's based on. If it's confidential, say so. If it's hearsay, say that. If it's behind a paywall, and it's not divulging too much information to be against community guidelines, tell us the source. I don't think fireman was being accusatory in this sense, just wanting more information.
And VTG leaves the thread.

I'm stoked to have a good punter, but its not like he is going to play much with our new offense right?!
#EnFuente
Clearly that's why everyone calls me Sprint, then.
I think comparing someone to Randy Moss in a negative light is a pretty bad example. Despite his off-field instances, he was extremely productive in college and the pros and is likely a hall of famer.
And I'm aware he took plays off and that didn't sit well with me, but people created this horrible narrative where he was this selfish POS that only cared about himself and discredited all he did for us. My point lies in the creation of these negative narratives about players' motivations and they often lack credibility and spread like rumors so quickly that people start to believe them despite there being no hard evidence to support it.
haha, no. I think the only ones chafed are the media members that had to wait. I just like being sarcastic about bullshit.
agreed, about Buzz though. he did his job correctly.
Per his Twitter Solomon Kindley from Jacksonville FL Got an offer tonight.
3* 6-5 330 OT/DT
he did meet with coaches as he was with jaquan bailey and his brother when VT coaches stopped by.. he doesn't have an offer yet but could be receiving one soon.
personally, I always thought T-mobile was incredibly lame. he deserves better.
Pricetag = $1500/ea.

During my time on campus I heard hushed rumors that he really "lost the locker room" as they say. Even though it sounded like he only lost the O Line.
