Virginia Tech University is not and has never been our official name. In fact, its specifically forbidden in our Style Guide.
Wished we had been doing it all along, especially under Beamer. They are all fair game till the signature on the dotted line. Think about David Wilson and Ford. Other coaches calling right up to signing day.
Ain't no wrang on that finger until February 3rd.

These kids all watch ESPN it is important to use the hype we were getting as the "Best College Football Hire of 2015..." It is refreshing to see a younger face behind our recruiting efforts.
Can't wait for the spring game. I imagine it will be pretty packed!
If you read the profile then you noticed that he holds an offer from Memphis, also. Since Wiggins has had contact with him in the past means he is familiar with his skillset. An offer from a better school like VT cannot hurt. It is not like it is a total hail mary. There is some type of prior effort to establish a relationship in the past. The former Memphis staff is in a better position IMO to leverage that now than while at Memphis. Besides all of the reasons like better school, facilities and tradition we can offer them a stipend. Schools that are a member of the Power 5 conferences can do that.

I can't wait to see what they can do when they actually have more time to recruit instead of starting late December! Next year should be a huge improvement.

I upvoted you for the picture but I have to disagree with your opinion.
Virginia Tech doesn't need a university for us but it does sound way better to say you got into "X University" than it does to say you got into "X." We know X is a university but I can't fault recruits for wanting to emphasize that it is.
And it's still way better than "Virginia Tech College."
Edit: You're welcome for illustrating how bad "Virginia Tech College" sounds.

Nothing wrong with a teenager exploring all potential options in a decision that will have a much larger impact on their life than it will any one of ours.
I don't understand TT, that nickname is the key to a huge endorsement deal! I'd own it, market it, and shamelessly sell it (see Peyton Manning)

Yes it will. I know I will be there! It also seems like Fuente is going outside of the normal range of Beamer's pipeline also. That will help a lot. I just hope he can control the 757 area over the coming years.
