Commenting because I want to save those tweets so I can tweet them back at Asshole Sutton there if we happen to beat UT next year. I'm thinking something along the lines of, "The Hokies are winning football games here. Please, report back to mediocrity."
Really hope we come out to play next year just because I want to Stone Cold Stunner this douche canoe.
Sorry if it came across as snarky, I think since that story was written Locksley was hired to stay on.
Also that other game in possibly the same place where it was ..something, something.. Michigan.. Something, something.. Danny caught it!...

I did. I hadn't seen it before today. Sorry if everyone was already aware of it. In my defense, it came to my attention because The Washington Post also did a story on it today. Perhaps I should have linked that one.
If you're talking about wanting to buy one, I think the only ones that are available are maroon ones. You would have to search eBay to find a game used one, and even then it may take a few years before the ones with the cool Hokie Stone pattern on the back shows up on there.

A little off topic, I've been looking on line a decent amount for our gray basketball jersey that we wore versus state, I can't find it anywhere.
I'm kind of worried that one day it'll all become "hot takez" for the sake of viewership and advertising money, and that solid intellectual reporting will drop off significantly.
Oh? I thought we were already there.
It seems to me that the political optics of a story get reported 24/7, but the underlying issues and analysis never seem to make the reports.

That's nice but he would have gotten a difference reception if OU won.
"Oh nice, an interview with our new OC. Eleven comments already, too - must be some good discussion."

You guys crack me up. Love it.
USC is no longer on sanctions, so they can recruit to their normal level. I think there's a definite correlation with SC being on probation and Oregon emerging as a west coast power (Stanford, too).
Dude did it right and shows respect. He didn't come across as a prick like Reddick, or most other "ballers" at the college level of the past. Just went out there and willed his team to probably the best game we will see this year. Big fan
I don't think I'll ever not laugh at this.
Are you going "slap happy?"
I think the moment the "prophecy" was fulfilled was when Vader chose his son over his master, sacrificing himself to throw Palpatine down the reactor core of the second Death Star. Vader came back. That's not supposed to happen. I know the Jedi Council dealt in hyperbole (with their "certain point of view") but I don't think Yoda was lying when he said once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Anakin's return from the dark side opened a new path, and I think Luke followed it. Like you said, Luke could flirt with the dark side without being dominated by it: force-choking Jabba's palace guards while maintaining his calm, giving into his anger against Vader upon Leia being threatened only to reel it right back in as soon as he hears Palpatine's laughter. Granted, it's probably easier when you're a bloodline derived from the Force itself.
Not terrible, but the glaring counterpoint is that Obi Wan is the consummate Jedi, and as such would not allow himself to give in to emotions, especially after witnessing firsthand what happened to Anakin.
Not really much. Norm and Buzz were joking about it after the NC State game on Saturday, and then with Tech playing UVA yesterday, Teel was at Cassell so it came up again.
My thoughts have been a roller coaster since the season started. I better just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!
As the season approached I was hopeful that we would finish between 7-9th place in ACC. Then St. Joe's and WVU happened and had me thinking that we might barely scrape by BC at the bottom. Especially with Clarke out. Now? No idea.
I don't even really like basketball. But I like Buzz. And because of that I watched the Hokies beat the number four team in the nation last night. Pretty sweet.

There is some subtext there that I'm sure I don't get.
Did you register on TKP just to bash Stinespring? He was over his head as an offensive coordinator, but he was a good position coach and a fantastic recruiter. Don't let prejudice blind you to objective data, he brought more future NFL draft picks to VT than any other coach over the last 10 years. Sure, our offense wasn't great when he was OC, but that's no reason to ignore his positive contributions and insult a man who has helped the Hokies in many ways.
Show some class, man.
I'm guessing a Columbian gentleman donated it to good will in 1982 and somehow it made its way to Mr. Laaser's closet...
you left out big12. I know that conference doesn't really have divisions but UF and UT wouldn't stand a chance in that league and they are the creme de la creme of the SEC least

That's an uncanny resemblance! Hopefully our coach doesn't get [SPOILER] in the [SPOILER] with a [SPOILER] by his [SPOILER]. Because that would be terrible for team morale.
