the difference is that he is not coming here to be our DC...he is coming here to work for Bud.

Outside of our own bowl game (because I had a personal interest in it), the Alamo Bowl was by far the best bowl game I've watched. What a historic collapse by Oregon and/or comeback by TCU. The fact that Oregon had basically zero offense without Vernon Adams is astounding.

Why I use @BUZZKETBALL_ for all my basketball twitter needs. All the info, none of the complaints.

I still can't believe some of the media were complaining about the seating change. Saying that it made their job more difficult is complete bull, I've sat very close to where they were moved to and you can see everything on the court and hear everything going on on the bench.

Regarded as the best at their position at some point in their career:

Bruce Smith, Duane Brown, Kam Chancellor

That leaves a fight between Michael Vick, Antonio Freeman, Carroll Dale,Jake Grove, DeAngelo Hall for the last spot.

My only gripe is Finn getting defeated with his light sabre by a storm trooper with an electrified stick. Then, he gets a slash hit on Kylo later. I did not see any ill effects on Kylo from that Chewbacca blast to the gut either.

Nice post. I would say that given the setup where Nutrition information is available, S&C is available, food is available, and football is available, it is difficult to pin blame on why and where certain outcomes were not achieved. Not an ideal structure, IMHO.

You are correct that Gentry has a great reputation in the industry, and likely gets nutrition as well as anyone. He has also had some good kids come out of our program who are doing really good things in the industry.

Again the outcomes were not great in certain cases. Whether that falls to Gentry, Beamer, nutrition assistants, players, or other I'll leave for those who would know better. Suffice to say that when you are part of a system that is underperforming, it eventually catches up to you.

VH is certainly one of the "hoped for better" outcomes. Your anecdote is interesting, disappointing. Whether its his fault or Gentry's I dunno. Today's generation doesn't seem to respond the way prior generations did. Shame the kid didn't see how S&C could have vaulted him up to a higher plain in football. Will be interesting to see how Dadi does getting after a professional career. Certainly one of a series of DEs I had high hopes for playing professionally... now I'm just hoping someone takes a flyer on the kid. It certainly worked out for JW, hopefully it works for DN as well.

We're just in the beginning phases of S&C gains. Customized everything based on genetics other advances in technology is in its infancy. Shortened recovery times, maximized gains, reduced fat accumulation (if desired), etc, etc. Join the revolution or get left behind. Nothing wrong with being a fast follower, but you're pretty much gotta acknowledge it, execute against it, and pitch it. Three to five years maybe not much changes but by year 10 I think we'll look back and say, "oh wow". Not sure performance with be much better, but I think more guys who want to play will have the opportunity to play at a high level. JMHO

Concur about Berman finding a new job, he is entirely anti-VT men's basketball, and finds a way to point out negative statistics/random facts about the team whenever possible. He also tweeted that VT had continued its losing streak against ranked teams with 13 full minutes remaining in the WVU game, which is entirely unprofessional (even though VT was playing worse than his reporting).

I believe this is because the fidelity on your phone speaker isn't good enough to reproduce the levels that the audio equipment in the media room was outputting, but your speakers (or a pair of headphones) probably are. My iPhone playback seems to agree with your droid, so there's probably not much you can do about it. I've checked another site's video recorded with similar camera gear and it appears that they have the same audio quality as well, so this might be something that we just have to deal with on our end.

I'll be recording every presser after the game the rest of the year, so hopefully I can dial in my audio settings to balance out the incoming audio quality.
