Interesting thoughts. One thing I couldn't shake is why the resistance (once again, ala rebels) was undermanned, equipment looked shoddy when clearly some likely figureheads at one point amongst the new republic (Leia, Admiral Ackbar) were a part of the resistance. Did the republic just not take the First Order seriously enough to prepare for the First Order? That doesn't seem to make sense because they make it clear that everyone is aware and afraid of the First Order. Regardless, it seemed ridiculous to me that people who should have pull, like Leia, were forced once again to be a part of a small undermanned, lesser equipment, underfunded "resistance" when she was one of the leaders who made it so there could be a New Republic.

I just saw a stat-based article the other day, I believe from The Power Rank, that basically said teams don't perform any worse for interim coaches than for full-time coaches in bowl games (specifically looking at situations where the coach was hired away after the season). I don't remember it discussing coordinators, but it was surprising to say the least.

For what it's worth, FEI is pretty pessimistic on the Hokies. S&P has VT as the #81 offense and most of the season the gap was wider.

Also, you wrote "FEI No. 46" but I think you meant "FEI No. 4 or 6". Irrational optimism for 2016 is starting early!

Honestly, I was introduced to both by a mutual friend, and only spoke to them briefly. The mutual friend also posts, I believe, on 247, but under a different handle than when we used to be on TCBs recruiting board. There were LOTS of guys in the recruiting know on that site, until it was sabotaged. 2005 range... was a good time while it lasted.

Forgot, also, to point out in my other post that recruits are allowed to say whatever they want about offers to places like Rivals, while coaches are not allowed to comment at all.
"Offers" are not always what they appear to be. Recruits play games and say they have offers, and no one can refute it.
