Told you we weren't done yet... Christmas 'bout to come early โ Thomas Guerry (@thomasguerry) December 18, 2015
I believe it was the second game in 2007 against LSU. I remember feeling real bad for CFB when I saw that on TV. Never saw him breakdown like that. Got so bad even ESPN announcers started trying to defend the VT program.... Ugh, what an ugly game. Then we burned Tyrod Taylor's red shirt in that game.
Another one incoming! Guerry signal up!
I still read his article about 4/16 on that day every year.
Same. This one and Chris Fowler's are my two that I find the most relatable.
His hudl says he runs a 4.38 and I believe it based on his film, no way this guy runs a 4.6. Multiple times people had angles on him and he just blew right by them. He does look like a perfect fit for Fuente's offense. If you can get the ball to a guy like this in space he can pick up lots of yards in a hurry.
One can be shifty and accelerate well without having great top end speed
If the dude finds a hole well makes a dude miss and gets me 5 yards a pop I couldn't care less about his measureables. Ask Oakland how judging players on 40 times worked for the better part of a decade
They also got an honorable mention for most Zima consumed.
Delightful.

ECU day.
At least we can change the outcome.
I'm not sure, but I did have a nightmare that day that we gave up a 4th and 15 against an option team and Brewer threw a pick six early in the 4th quarter that greatly affected the outcome of the mythical game.
It was nothing more than a nightmare though, it never actually happened.
Funny thing about blackout drunks...
Where were you on Sept 20, 2014 when GT beat VT in Lane at the end of the 4th qtr when Brewer said, here, take the ball, I Don't want it and they kicked a last second FG for the win?
Speed and quick are different equations.
The VTCC would never require Cline to miss a football commitment for a Corps function. We had football players and athletes in other sports while I was in the Corps and having an athletic activity was considered an authorized absence the same as an academic activity. The only reason the Corps would restrict him from participating in a non-VTCC activity is if his grades were bad, which would be a problem for football too so I don't think that's the case (and in no way am I trying to imply that Cline's grades are bad, just for clarity).
Of course, in all fairness, it's possible things have changed in the 16 years since I was a cadet, but I doubt it. Having athletes (particularly high-profile athletes) in the Corps is good press for the Corps, and restricting participation in sports would be bad for Corps recruiting as well. One of my buds was a non-scholarship player on the women's soccer team and she got to miss most of Cadre Week (our 1-week "basic training" period for freshmen) when we were freshmen to go to soccer practices. If they didn't restrict a walk on for the women's soccer team from going to practice, they aren't going to restrict a potential football star.
I'm not really trying to rant in your general direction, GoKart, I've just seen speculation that we haven't seen Cline because of the Corps posted around TKP a few times and am trying to nip it in the bud.
I do not recall this happening. The last time we played GT in Lane we won an OT thriller behind the heroics of the Fuller brothers and the infamous Cody Journell.
Look what day it is.

Hudl says he runs a 4.38, and it looks like it on film too
My step-daughter is a senior in high school and just got her binding acceptance to VT on Friday! She is all in as a Hokie! Took her to the NC State game to seal the deal.
She credits me and my passion for everything VT for steering her in the right direction....her older sister went to the dark side (the older daughter does not enjoy Thanksgiving time - LOLuva).
At the draft I better hear "with their first round pick in the NFL draft, the buffalo bills select OT...."
Apparently the TE class this year is BAD, and he rates as 3rd best.
Ouch
Only in the 4th qt to beat VT?
Considering it will be Evans vs Motley and Lawson, we probably will
No, I just meant I didn't expect us to have that many out-of-state commits

The 4.6-40 time seems to be from a combine at Tampa. This time was third fastest out of about 750 participants. Adrian Killins had the fastest time at 4.58. Other 40 yard times for Adrian Killins are in the 4.3 range... so it was a slow field where they did the testing.
ESPN has a vertical leap for Latrell at 39"
