Not that I want them gone or wish bad things on either of them, it's just that JMU seems like a good landing spot. Shane can get that HC experience he needs. He's still in state (which I'm assuming is a plus for him?). And Shane and Stiney's recruiting wouldn't interfere with ours.

A quick look at ECU's message board shows that most people are hoping it to be Shane now that Chizik and Randy Shannon are no longer interested/in the running. Seems to be down to Shane and Withers for sure, with most of them thinking Withers is overrated as a coach so Shane wins by default. That was also about 10 minutes of finals procrastination on a random message board though so take it for what it's worth.

That comment was in reference to him being familiar with the region. I guess Tennessee and Mississippi are far enough away that they didn't warrant mentioning

These meet FAA regulations (sealed in a bag and wrapped with bubble). I had to buy them when I flew from Sacramento because they checked my bag for wine. However, because they take up a ton of space in the suitcase, I just take the risk of wrapping bottles in my clothes.

"...could have a "home" game every other year at VT visiting family for his entire tenure as coach"

I find it odd that the article highlights his time at GT (one year as a GA) but ignores 3 years as a GA for Tennessee and 3 years coaching at Mississippi State.

I kind of wish one of the players showed up in track shorts and flip flops just to tell Chris Faller he couldn't afford a suit.

But it actually would be.

TOTAL SPECULATION:
I think this was a point of contention between Beamer and Lefty. Beamer several times after bad play from Motley said that we need to look into what we have with Lawson and Lefty just kept saying he's not ready.

It seemed to me that Beamer really wanted Lawson to get out there and get playing time. Hoping he would be that "Lighting in a bottle" that could ignite this team. It's what he had in both Vick and Tyrod.
