It seems you are missing the big picture. This is Frank's LAST game, Belk wanted Tech and this situation to get a sellout. Yes, they are 6-6 teams, but it is the "perfect storm" for the sponsor to prosper, which is now lost.

Can't have FSU losing that many ACC games. They are the cash cow of the ACC football world.
Major League Baseball figured out how to do it under home plate, there has to be something. The pylon cameras are a great start and should be rolled out to every NFL game, not sure why they aren't yet and should be in P5 football by 2016 season. But there has to be the technology out there to make having a camera watching the sideline a thing.
I never thought I'd say this, but I hope Stinespring stays....as a recruiter. The Rufin McNeill idea isn't a bad one, but egos might get in the way there. I want to say Mike London would be a great recruiter for us, but that guy just seems like too much of a doofus. I really think he lucked into the Thoroughbreds via their bitterness towards VT and basically told any other kid whatever they wanted to hear just so they'd sign on.
I think this almost completely Buzz's system/coaching. I may be wrong, but I think he wants to work the ball around the court with passing so that the defense misses assignments and opens up a lane to the basket. The idea there being that we have many weapons to drive that lane and either make a higher percentage shot or draw a foul and get another guy to the charity stripe. The additional possibility on top of all that is the additional time that takes off the clock, which is good when you have a comfortable lead. That being said, I don't think Buzz explicitly discourages 3 point shooting as much as he is highly encouraging more passing & getting fouls.

It was definitely a rowdy crowd, especially at the start of the game. However, that was largely due to the fact that students were upward of half the crowd. After the first few minutes, once we took a considerable lead, the Radford crowd settled down a whole bunch and wasn't anything impressive. I do compliment Radford on their fans and their support of their team last night, but I would highly recommend their students to learn the rule book so they are aware of what actually constitutes a foul. They called male cow maneur on every call by the refs against Radford. By my judgement the refs weren't really biased to one team or the other, but they were definitely all over the place. Some calls were terrible, some very good, some blatantly missed/not called.

Doesn't make me like him more. 1) If he's so devoted to BYU, why leave? 2) He had to know the upcoming schedule. So, if that's the way he really feels, why leave for a school you know plays your former team? Doesn't add up.
Georgia Tech and Illinois did something similar to this when they renovated their arenas. This is the route I hope VT goes with when they renovate Cassell, which is going to need serious renovation in the next 10-15 years. I have a concept exterior drawing somewhere that I'll upload this evening.

see? fairfax isn't so bad. There are some places so bad that even people who are from there hate it. At least in Fairfax, you can like it if you were born into it. Everyone else might hate it, but it could be worse. Could be Mississippi or Arkansas (where my dad's family lives/is from).
Up until recently if you were home schooled you had to play sports at a private or religious school.
The "Tim Tebow Rule" was to allow Private/home school kids to play at public schools see below.
Under the bill, if a nonpublic school — including a homeschool — does not offer a sport, a student would be eligible to participate in the activity at a public school. The public school would be one to which the student would ordinarily be assigned if the student were not enrolled in private school or homeschooled.

# | In case you haven't noticed, Hokies Women's Hoops is pretty good but they one upped the boys with an even more terrible night at the free throw line. They went 9-21 last night. All in all though it was a pretty solid win continuing their upward trend.
My only concern with fixed equipment on the field is the chance someone steps on it and breaks it, or trips on it and injures himself. Embedded cameras, like ones in pylons, are a cool idea, but sensors + official GoPro (because the guys can move out of the way) seems to me to be the least invasive way of improving things.
I was born and raised in Southwest Virginia (and frankly every day I spend in Fairfax County is a day poorly spent.)
Conversely, I'm from Fairfax county, and I'm incredibly happy being back here at home. I know we get a bad wrap from folks not from here (mainly from more rural places), but I like the diversity, urbanization / proximity to DC, and overall vibe despite the traffic!
Out of bounds and a lot of goaline stuff could be fixed with cameras in the ground with sight line down them.
