I'm probably reading too much into it, but it seems to me that "not far from the 1 spot" could be (1) VT could become his leader and (2) Isaiah wears #1 and maybe Matthews sees himself as heir apparent in our offense, since they come from the same school. Wouldn't doubt that Isaiah is in his ear, and I know he went back and visited his old school after the GT game.

I do not like the one helmet that was posted with the chrome maroon and orange.
What do you mean "connected to?" I'm pretty sure this was part of our recruiting pitch after we unveiled the black uniforms and one of these was sent to each of our prospective recruits.
Does he mean that he will be playing at VTech within the four years he is at Florida State?
Seating is not the problem. Would improving seating for students increase average student attendance? Yes, but that's not why the student section isn't full. The reason why the student section isn't full is apathy because no one wants to watch the team lose. Fix that problem and you will have much better attendance from students.
When he says "VTech" does he mean that magical place in Blacksburg we all know and love, or the giant corporation that makes crappy baby monitors and such?
It's good to be absolutely, crystal clear on these matters.

FWIW he's from the same school Isaiah Ford came out of. That school has been putting out a lot of top recruits.

Maryland still has a tiny bit of momentum going from the Big Ten entrance, but its fading fast, as everyone realized just how far back in the pecking order they are up there. Would not surprise me that they need him just to keep the status quo. Once we get rolling, and our offense performs as a Fuente offense does, and its paired with a Bud defense... Its going to be incredibly difficult to recruit against us in this region.
I can see HokieNation supporting DJ in Hokie uniform!

# | 4* FSU commit DJ Matthews tweets "I see myself playing at VTech" This would be a HUGE get if we could land him. He's a borderline 4*/5* WR, ranked #16 at his position in the country by 247. He would start and contribute immediately, and would be a playmaker for us.
I always favorite, but never reply. ITS ALL ABOUT THE LIKES NOW DAYS.
Depending on where you live, Total Wine might be a solid choice to check out for a wide selection. I know they aren't the local shop, but I've always had luck at the Virginia Beach one when I travel out of Maryland.
Check out Beer Advocate. They had a section to browse shops, which might have a local that will have more than you can imagine. The higher the rating, the better the store!
And bring back some Pliny the Elder!!!!!!!!!!!!

My view of Durkin just went down a little bit...
No offense but those are boring and give me the feeling of looking like every other team with a strip in their uniform (Iowa, OSU, LSU). The 80's and early 90's of over, time for modern jerseys.
I would much rather see something sleek and up-to-date (no strips) in maroon and the mirror of in white. Four helmets: Military appreciation, All maroon, Tri color away helmets/white , specialty helmet worn once, twice max (Hokie Stone, chrome, matte, what ever your heart desires)
If you want strips jerseys, save it for homecoming and bring them out. Just too old school and plain. Hate to say it but what these kids wear on gameday is just as powerful a recruiting tool as anything else we pitch in recruiting.
The one orange arm look that Marcus Vick wore, no thank you.
