I just wrap the bottle in my clothes and put it in checked baggage.
Not had a problem in many years doing so.
Be careful the weight of your bag, some airlines charge a lot for an overweight bag. Check their baggage info online and use a bathroom scale to weigh the bag if unsure.
Also, growers work very well for going into checked bag as well. I use stainless steel growlers for this. If they break, something went seriously wrong.
I travel to beer destinations a lot as well my buddy travels to Europe and South America a lot and brings back bottles.
I just got back from Chicago. Flew with 2 growlers full of beer, and empty growler and a couple bottles.

Especially since no one is strongly recruiting them from LOLUVA.
I feel this will affect current recruits committed to UVA more than anything else.

I believe this came from him attending a camp, since he committed back in May which would have been just after our Junior Days. So we offered him because the coaches liked what they saw in the camp.

Again, using 247's Composite ranking of the top 250 players, here's last year's numbers:
Texas - 35
California - 33
Florida - 33
Virginia - 10
Maryland - 5
North Carolina - 8
DC - 2
Sure, the average may be 8-10 players that are ranked in the top 250 players nationally from VA, but that's still not a large number. With there only being that roughly 10 players and every school on the East Coast looking at them, it becomes a lot more difficult to grab in state kids that can contribute. If you have 30+ to work with that are nationally regarded as blue chip recruits, you can work with what you have in state even when it's all being picked over by other schools. We don't have that luxury because we aren't going to clean up and land all 10 of the blue chips in our state.
I bring plenty of wine/booze back from here in Spain in my checked bag. I bubble wrap just to make sure, but no problems so far.
Edit: NVM. In the grand scheme of things, this question was pointless. Hopefully I got the edit in before people had time to open the thread.
1) Why can't it be on the team bench side? There's lots of schools that seem to do it. If there's a logistical reason at VT, then that's understandable but I've not heard that before.
2) As far as the rows behind the students, the idea is that by going from 5 rows of regular seats to 4 rows of seating with more legroom, you can elevate the front row of that section because you have to make up the riser difference somewhere.
I was finally able to return to Blacksburg this year for two games - Duke and UNC. You might call me a curse, because apparently I bring heartbreaking OT losses with me, but the atmospheres for those games were surreal and I will never forget them.
There were times, late in the Duke game, where I was reminded of vintage Lane Stadium. The place was rocking late in the 4th and during all the OT periods. Heck, I was in the West Stands and people were going nuts, much to my surprise.
And what can you say about the UNC game that hasn't been said already? To be there, for Coach's last game, was priceless. The build-up, the tributes, and adding my voice to the tens of thousands chanting "Beamer!" as he was carried off the field...that's what college football is all about. I choked up a couple of times that day, but my voice never failed me when I needed it.

I look back on halftime of OSU game and kind of laugh/cry...
There were students in the bathroom in Lane screaming things like "you dont come into Lane and push us around" - all the adult fans looked at each other and were like... "umm i guess he's a freshmen"

No offense but those are boring and give me the feeling of looking like every other team with a strip in their uniform (Iowa, OSU, LSU). The 80's and early 90's of over, time for modern jerseys.
I would much rather see something sleek and up-to-date (no strips) in maroon and the mirror of in white. Four helmets: Military appreciation, All maroon, Tri color away helmets/white , specialty helmet worn once, twice max (Hokie Stone, chrome, matte, what ever your heart desires)
If you want strips jerseys, save it for homecoming and bring them out. Just too old school and plain. Hate to say it but what these kids wear on gameday is just as powerful a recruiting tool as anything else we pitch in recruiting.
