I like that corner club concept. Cassell has all those extra rows tapering up into the corners that are basically the worst seats in the house and are hardly ever used. Replacing them with corner clubs or corner suites can give out-of-town donors looking for priority points another place to park some cash instead of buying primo sideline seats that they never sit in.

Looks like you have some updates to make. Today has been quite interesting.

That is the first thought that came to my mind as well. Looking at Jackson's twitter posts though, he seems happy with CJF being the new big whistle.

he could possibly graduate by this Summer if he works hard.

I thought he was a redshirt freshman? That's really impressive he has that many credits already.

This is very true. If he's coming along at TE, he might just stick around since Malleck is graduating, but we still have some good depth there. If Bucky leaves, that changes, but right now there's Chris Cunningham (Fr.), Xavier Burke (Fr.), and Kalvin Cline (r-So.) plus Bucky.

This is the first thing that I thought after just reading the headline. The Durkin transfer is probably the next logical step here.

UNLESS... His development at TE is coming along. Fuente is going to need TE's next year in his offense.

Temple at Houston -6.5
Alabama -16.5 vs Florida
Stanford -4.5 vs USC
Clemson -5.5 vs North Carolina
Iowa vs Michigan State -3.5

I would be too. It seems most (using this word loosely with no research and I know there are exceptions to this) coaches have to take a non-P5 head coaching job before being given the keys at a P5 school. Unless, you're a bottom feeder like Syracuse, Wake, or UVA. I'm thinking/hoping UVA takes another unproven coach as I think Richt is smart enough to make UVA think they have a shot, leave them at the altar, and take the year off.

Better question, with Jackson coming in, Lawson as a true Sophomore, and Motley as a Senior, does Chris Durkin transfer to play under his uncle? I know Chris and his family love Virginia Tech, but he might have a shot to play at Maryland and he could possibly graduate by this Summer if he works hard.

Yeah, I think VT has offered Shane a landing spot in the Admin if he wants it. Sounds like he's working on trying to get on UGA's staff with Smart and/or USC's staff where he might even be a darkhorse HC candidate. He probably has a few other HC applications out there as well.

I'm hopeful he finds a spot on someone else's staff, does well, becomes a HC and comes back to be HC at VT when Fuente eventually leaves to replace Stoops at OU (seems like the most logical place for Fuente to eventually bolt for).

There may not have been much emotion for Buzz last night but you could tell there definitely was the other way as when the final buzzer sounded the entire Northwestern team is surrounding JVZ pounding on him as if he was the big motivation for them to win. The camera caught it as they were closing up the broadcast.

But in all honesty, that would certainly create a legitimate in-state rivalry both on the field and recruiting.

I like things the way they've been for the past 12 years. Why change what's working? Yes, the recruiting does need to be addressed.

I'd be shocked if he coaches next year. That said, he's a damn good coach and would be dangerous in the Coastal. If he goes to either UVA or Miami, we're going to have some tough games on our hands (and the ACC is going to start looking a lot better).
