so he thinks frost is a great hire at ucf but hates Fuente at VT..

it is all out of pure...

Um...something doesn't add up here.
the streets...apparently
I wonder how these interviews go. I mean, what these guys are capable of is on open display for the most part with established coaches like Richt. What do they discuss in the interview that isn't handled through the agents?
Yeah, he and Buzz have fully embraced VT from the get go. I get that on some level this is self marketing, the more fans love you the better your position with the school and athletic department. But still, I love it.

God this guy is a giant douche...what Hokie do you know who uses the word connoisseur unless we are making fun of LOLUVA being connoisseurs of time outs and fine neck sweaters.
I would like to say to UVA:

If true, he just missed out on the easiest job of his life. It would have been like a vacation for a guy like him to take over at Va. Hire a few decent coaches and put his feet up on his desk and daydream and he'd likely do better than Timecop did. Then, when rejuvenated, he could go back to coaching a real football team.
#sauces?
Terrific sounds odd when he just got fired... unless this is a Les Miles situation
OH we all know who that jackass is.... good old loud mouth bullshitter himself @vth0kie31.... Guy purposely vomits stupidity and guy I'd pay to give a cleats up kick to the balls.
My morning shit has a higher IQ then this guy.....(can you tell he gets under my skin)
Hmm interesting... still not a football school though. I'm not worried. Fuente (offensive minded) Foster (defensive coordinator/god) vs. Richt (Defensive Offensive minded) would make the rivalry a little more interesting. Does he know how to use timeouts?
Maryland has hired D. J. Durkin, DC from Michigan.
Now it's up to Fuente. By all accounts he is a no-nonsense guy, so I am doubtful of him putting up with it either.
Fuente is going to have to deal with this one way or another. We're all going to rip him if he doesn't start bringing that type of talent to Blacksburg. He'll eventually get fired if he doesn't have the players to get him to ACC championship/CFB playoff contending level. Does he choose to play in the shadows to get these guys or is he going to take the moral high ground and attempt to have the same success with the blueprint we used 15 years ago?
I think it was John Wooden who said something like: "There are two types of coaches: Ones who win with great talent and ones who are unemployed (or on the path of getting fired)." The recruiting battles are going to be fun to watch.
I would dislike this because he is a great coach and a better person. He deserves a better school than UVa.
The other side of the coin, though, is that if Cornell (or any other coach that finds out he isn't being retained) gets a job offer, but the school extending the offer wants him to report immediately, what is the incentive to stick around for the bowl game? I get loyalty to Beamer by the staff, but that's over now. No reason not to go if an offer is extended.
If be surprised if the entire coaching staff coaches the bowl game. At least one coach is sure to get an offer and leave prior to that.
He is. Terrific former offensive coordinator and quarterback guru.

not sure of the protocol here. But I don't think I can like Richt anymore if he does this.
I thought Richt was offensive minded?
Would make the rivalry more interesting, at least.
Yeah, so Cutler said he was going to transfer because he was going to be the #3 guy behind Lambert and Johns, then Lambert said he was going to transfer two days later, then Cutler recanted?
I started to dig through some of the past articles about the 'breds...listen I think on the surface, these guys did a pretty tremendous thing in terms of guiding the players to go to great colleges (say what you want about UVa, it's still a division one program w/ good academics). Some of these guys grew up in awful circumstances (the story of how Blanding's mother worked two jobs in order to send her son to all of these camps was really touching) and having strong role models in an impressionable part of their childhood is awesome. I think no one on this board is going to find fault in that. However, there was this cloud of nefarious behavior and they fact they kicked Tech in the nuts by steering 4* and 5* guys away from us is what we upset all of us. There's a goddamn good story here and it would be cool to see everything out there now that the dust has settled and we're getting an overhaul on our staff.

After hearing about who other schools have hired, I feel more and more excited about us hiring Justin Fuente. He could easily be the best hire of the year!
