Yeah thats all I wanted to know. Pretty awesome to see Coach Fuente's name already attached to some recruits.
Last year (2014) was actually the last year Capital One sponsored the bowl. Buffalo Wild Wings picked it up and it went back to the Citrus Bowl.

The link they provide gives you zero information; it's 100% behind a paywall. But it's funny because the real info isn't paywalled:
Looks like a normal tweet, right?
Click it to expand the media...
...and there's no reason to give them any money. If you visit their page, it makes reference to a scoop about a "committed prospect," yet there it is for all the world to see :)
So yes, context and info for discussion is nice, and I petitioned for that earlier today, but I just wanted to make the above statement to avoid Joe catching hell from any of these paywall guys. People have copied and pasted from articles and they've had to be taken down. If there's additional information, cool, but the headline (MASSIVE scoop, according to VTScoop on Twitter) is 100% visible to everyone, which I found kind of funny.
So we have something actually linking Fuente to a recruit. Now I'm really excited. (the Mayberry thread seemed like a lot of speculation and assumption).
This is great, love his highlight footage and glad to see Fuente was able to ring him back in.
Yea and if frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their asses on the ground.
Would still like to see a link and maybe a little more context for a new thread. Give us something to discuss or click on ourselves.
something something something yourself.
Yeah. I think you're right.
My gut feel was that the best possible outcome was Bud remaining as DC, and getting the best offensive-minded coach possible.
For me, Whit nailed it.

Pretty much that he was called by Fuente and that he was impressed by him. Nothing too groundbreaking
We don't post content taken from behind paywalls.
Can someone give a short review of the announcement? I don't have VIP Access on 247. I'd like to know what he thought of Fuente.
Thank you, Divine news!
Bummed that part of Wade Hansen's celebration at the end of that push-the-pile gif got cut off.
This year, at least, Duke, UNC, and Pitt should have been. Those are games that I would want back if we could get them back.
It would be interesting to see a 350+ lb DT in a 7-on-7 league but I'm not sure they would make much sense.
Remember that time VT went to a national championship game?
Sometimes things pan out.
And yet it's mostly a zero sum game and a chunk of them won't be overwhelming in 4 or 5 years for basically the same reasons a chunk of them aren't overwhelming at present.
People have been saying similar things for years and it never really pans out.
several factors
1) ACC doesn't allow Non-Qualifiers (out of high school) to transfer from a JUCO unless they've graduated with their Associates degree
2) There are very few Qualifiers who go to JUCO for football who are D-1 prospects. (many more do so for basketball)
3) ACC limits each school to 4 JUCO recruits per season, in all sports. Basketball, Football, Track, Baseball, etc. 4 men, 4 women
4) VT admissions requirements may trip up some Qualifiers who went to JUCO for a year and are looking to transfer.
5) VT admissions requirements may trip up a prospect who earned their Associates degree but managed to miss a VT pre-req.
The Citrus Bowl is now the Capitol One Bowl
But you can spell Capitol One without it
I read it on twitter a week or so ago. It'll be impossible to find now. It makes sense that they don't want a match-up that duplicates one that has already been selling tickets in the future. Just a thought.
Fuente is already changing the game by studying and offering recruits that fit his system no matter if they're JuCO or HS seniors.
Has it occurred to anyone that Fuente almost certainly conferred with Bud Foster - and possibly Torrian Gray - on this DB from Okla before making the offer?
Those guys have a pretty good track record for recognizing DB talent before other programs and the anointed experts at the recruiting websites...

see the db from okla is more of a WR IMO he seems to fit Fuente's small but speedy guy. total speculation in my part but we seem pretty set on dbs so I would be extremely surprised if that's what we offered him as.
