Implying the Oscar Smith coach steers his players seems pretty ridiculous to me. They have gone all over the country.

Edit: Auto-correct strikes again

5) With a defense already in place, Fuente can focus on the offense and recruiting.

We have room to improve over this year on defense, and Bud knows that.

We were riddled by the injury bug and some dismissals, but attrition has to be accounted for.

Is Maryland a good job?

I just can't seem to buy into the fact that UM is a decent job?

Navy has already received and accepted the Military bowl bid - as expected.

I'm not overly worried about a defense Bud Foster has essentially game planned for about 8 or 9 times (pretty successfully) and the players practiced for just a few weeks ago (pretty successfully).

I'd be more worried about better versions of UVa like Miss St or Arkansas.

I lived in the upstate through middle school and high school, and most of my friends went to Clemson (brother included). Trust me when I say they never respected us, even when we were beating them into the ground in 2006 and 2007.

In my experience, Clemson has one of the worst band-wagoning fanbases in all of college football. Never have I seen a stadium so ready to boo its own team. I guarantee you they would have booed their team had the USC game been at home.

I hope we knock them into tomorrow the next time we play, and give them a 1999 Syracuse kind of beating.

Saw JUCO from Mississippi and immediately thought/hoped we were getting Reavis back.

I'll keep dreaming.

FWIW, very few bowls come remotely close to selling out and if it's Charlotte, it's a big stadium to fill. Plus the schools generally get the worst seats (many fans know this) and generally have return tickets.

You won't have any problem getting tickets unless it's the Military Bowl vs Navy...(or maybe Belk vs Tenn, but that isn't likely to happen).

maybe the limited eligibility? Coaches prefer a red shirt soph/junior that they've worked with for a couple years instead of a JUCO guy who has the same eligibility, but trained with someone else for two years?

There will be thousands of tickets available on the primary and secondary markets.

This concern gets voiced every year without fail and despite the usual worries to the contrary, the actual answer is almost always the same.

I love how miami is still very much in the "worse than us" category even when our record against them as of late isn't to pretty. Duke, Pitt, BC, UNC, LOLUVa, GT also seem to fall into that category...I just realized I listed our entire yearly conference schedule. Every one of them should be a win on our schedule and I will continue to believe this no matter how many losses we show against them season after season.

Yeah I never got why we never went after JUCO guys. If they can be a + on the football field, represent the university the right way and be academically mature, I have no problem with it.

Oh god, the first thought that ran through my head is that next uniforms will looks like Nascar racing machines and we'll be seeing something such as "Virginia Tech First Third Bank of Narrows" on helmets. (Is there is a First Third Bank of Narrows?)

Sorry, thought I got the edit in before a response, apparently the Army Navy game is on the 12th, after any potential conference championship. +1

I think the conference title game might have been pushed back a week as the Army/Navy game is reserved for this week.

Or I could be completely wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Now my comment is irrelevant.
