I wouldn't have noticed without the observations you comment on when I make my picks. We both had same 3-4 record last week.

Having a legit 3 way tie for first going into final week is pretty exciting.

I agree, except change Hunley with Scott and replace Burden with TBD.

Scott has been a Fuente guy for a long time. Although he would be "demoted" in title, he would get paid equal or more, have an opportunity to work with one of the greatest defensive minds, and continue to work with Fuente. Hunley has only worked with Fuente for two years and has similar resume to Cornell Brown. Thus, I don't think Fuente would replace Brown with Hunley, but I do think he would replace Brown with Scott.

I don't think Burden will be retained, simply because this is Fuente's team. But, I do think the 10th spot is a wild-card, and maybe Burden fills it. If I were Fuente though, I would search the college landscape of recently let-go coaches and lure the best recruiter in the South or Mid-Atlantic. Mike Locksley is a guy that fits that bill, but his name may not be clean enough for a Fuente program (hitting assistant coaches will follow you for a long time). Maybe WR coach/recruiting coordinator Bryan McClendon from UGA.

I could have sworn we won 3 games with him at QB. Really though NC State was probably the most complete game we played this year and Motley was quite good in it. He needed to be much more consistent but overall I was pleasantly surprised with his play.

I believe ESPN was the only outlet to report it (Brett McMurphy) but unlike Bud there has been no other evidence to suggest he's staying.

Have heard lots of not so great stuff swirling around him and usually where there's smoke there's fire.

Isn't it ironic that a loss to a (it is what it is) pretty poor vt team last year didnt keep yall out of the playoff, but a loss to a really good msu this year did?

Ohhhh college football!

#SayNoToLocksley I know people who knew him personally in New Mexico. Believe or not, but do not let this man in the doors.

Boy howdy, he could sell ice to an Eskimo. I usually hate the offseason but I'm really going to hate this one. I can't wait to see what this man does going forward.

I know Hunley was a great college linebacker and is an NFL guy now, but why would Bud stop coaching the ILBs when their role is so unique in his system? Is Hunley primarily a recruiter?

There was more than one zombie.

The plan for VT was very good. But in watching this game you couldn't help but get the impression that one team was excited to play on that sloppy field, in driving rain, in that muck. They were excited to fly around and smash somebody, slide around a bit, and get up and do it again.

*SIGHS* Maybe we'll get back to this...

I think it makes it THAT much better that whit gave Fuente the option to keep bud rather than mandating it.

Im taking this as a sign that theyre going to get along great and conquer the world together.

WHERE ARE MY SUNGLASSES THE FUTURE IS TOO DAM BRIGHT!!!!

locksley has said he's leaving MD if he doesnt get the HC gig. He's not going elsewhere to coach TE. He's also not the type of guy I'd see Fuente hiring

Shane is not staying, it would be a miracle if he does stay
