Paxton Lynch was also a 2 Star recruit coming of college. Would be interested to see what he can do with a kid that has a little more raw talent.

The offense revolves around the QB quite literally. I am not sure what he could mean by rely on the QB too much, seems like a ticky tacky reason to not like Fuente.

I think my initial concern is that Fuente's variation of the spread is a very pass-heavy one. Lynch has been throwing 40+ times most games this season. I'm a bit more of a fan of the smashmouth spread style that Herman, Morris, and Mullen run. Fundamentally, it's focused around a committment to the run game, which I think is what we need to get back to. The passing game can flourish as well, but we're likely not going to be throwing it 40+ times unless circumstances dictate it.

I think I see a couple first downs there

seriously, though, it's sad when our fans celebrate first downs the way we do. That really speaks to the ineptitude we've grown accustomed to offensively over the last decade :(

Wait wait wait...an offensive system is going to rely on the QB? Can someone explain to me an offensive system that doesn't rely on the QB? He's seriously the most important person on that side of the ball. Sure, a stud runningback can make up for a less than stellar QB, but a QB is still the most important piece. Can't run an offense without him. But with regards to what your friend said, Fuente is riding Paxton Lynch because Paxton Lynch is fantastic. So of course he's going to rely heavily on what Lynch does.

So far... There is possibility that two more openings appear.
1) London gets fired after losing to Virginia Tech yet again.
2) LSU ponies up and hires Narduzzu away from Pitt.

I want us to destroy UVA.

I want Joey Slye's opening kickoff to clear the stands and crash into The Rotunda; leaving behind nothing but smoking crater.

I want Sam Rogers to truck a safety so hard he flies into orbit.

I want us to block every every single UVA kicking attempt until they start taking a knee on 4th down because it's a safer play.

I want to sack Matt Johns so many times that he runs off the field, into the stands, and curls up into his mother's lap crying inconsolably.

I want Mike London to do the same thing.

I've read a lot articles listing Fuente as top choice. This source seems like the most credible #sauce about our coaching search since Beamer announced. I'm not going to get my hopes up nor am I going to wholeheartedly believe this but I feel like this is correct.

If you want to watch dismemberment, flip over to watching the Bastard Executioner. They did a full four limb one with Knights on horseback. Show has definitely had some other crazy torture scenes as well.

Jelly about the Wicked Weed!!!!! The Pernicious won in the IPA category for good reason! Wish I had gotten a few bottles to bring home. I think I'm going to work on the Troegs Perpetual IPA that I picked up this past weekend. Also got a couple of Iron Hill's reserve bottle of Russian Imperial Stout, to age. And have a few bottles of BCBS that I'm picking up Friday. The only reason to go out shopping on Black Friday.

My point is that five years ago, you had to be a hokie club member to get a shot at season tickets. And pretty much all of Lane's tickets went to season ticket holders. The last couple of years, Tech has had a lot of tickets to sell to anybody who wants to buy.

everyone has a perspective, but we can all at least agree on one thing - be disciplined and simply do not go near a referee.

I understand that emotions can get the best of us all, but Dadi should have been more disciplined than to keep approaching the direction that Ron Cherry was in - Cherry was clearly established in the 'penalty calling stance"

Well Ron started by calling false start, reversed it to offsides, then Dadi hit him. So it was probably frustration getting to him. But YOU CAN'T HIT THE REFS! I am very disappointed in him.

I don't think anyone really knows who it is except Whit. We've went from done deals with RR, Fuente, Herman, Morris, speculation about Richt and Mullen, and now again with Fuente. I honestly can't wait for an announcement to be made next week. I feel like a kid who just can't wait until Christmas morning.
