Agree. I think he's the best name we've heard rumored so far.
If the battle of the facilities would settle down, a lot of the lower level schools wouldn't be struggling fiscally. However, they also would have a hard time recruiting. Facilities are a recruiting gold mine, and only now are we catching up.
I can't believe some people wouldn't consider Mullen exciting enough. I honestly believe he's the best hire of all the names I've heard given his track record as a head coach. This would be a great hire folks.
Seriously?? UNC went <40 yds for FG & 45 for TD due to our mistakes, then the D forces 2 fumbles to set us up just to get the chance to tie
What the clip doesn't show is Nicolas walking around swinging his arms like that for quite a while before getting to the ref. The clip is also in slow motion which makes any action look more deliberate. He smacks the ref's arm with his own forearm, hardly the kind of strike someone would make in a pre-mediated fashion.
Dude is an emotional player and pouts like a 3 year old sometimes, and it's not a stretch to imagine he isn't paying attention to who/what is around him as he walks around doing his temper tantrum thing. Doesn't excuse it but IMO an action like this is less egregious than shoving a ref twice the way Jameis Winston has done (without any penalty or repercussion). http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/11/jameis-winston-pushes-referee-out-of-the...
He was called for being in the neutral zone because
Does the "because" matter, though? Dadi was in the neutral zone when the ball was snapped. He was called for it. He should not have been across the line. Yes, if the officials were perfect, the call would have been on the center. But Dadi should know by now that refs aren't perfect. You don't put yourself in the situation where you're counting on the ref to make the right call. When a player is more concerned about the officials than about doing his job, he's lost focus.
Tyrod doing Tyrod things...announcer says "reminds me of Russell Wilson", I'm like "?!? Reminds me of Tyrod Taylor!" They did use the opportunity to show their head-to-head matchup where Tyrod got the 41-30 victory.
... but if Frank hadn't done it, the ACC would have.

RR is a have to kinda thing at this point if no one else works out. I don't think Bud is even in the running to be honest. Not a big enough splash

In-state recruiting is 1) not particularly important (opinion)
Strongly disagree about instate recruiting, agree to disagree
VT has been comparable to or better than many other similar power 5 institutions' in-state recruiting (fact)
who are those other teams that you are comparing us to when it comes to instate recruiting?
What matters is overall recruiting
Yes, of course, but it all starts with dominating your state.
Take off the O&M glasses and ask a few sober people (who follow closely college football, but don't give a rat's ass about VT) for their opinion on VT football. For the most part, they are amazed at what Beamer has done on the field and in recruiting in a relatively short period of time and with relatively modest resources and are somewhat puzzled at how elements of the fanbase have been trying to push him out for several years.
People/the outsiders are amazed at what Beamer has done from what he was dealt to what where we are now, but outsiders also know us for not being able to keep home town talent instate and that we choke in big national scene games, not even an opinion... its a fact.
What else would you like to know?
Course list, etc?
We are collaborating with a certain German institution, the final paperwork is in transit.
Hops and barley research is big focus.
Pilot scale malting and brewing equipment. And perhaps soon something from A Holstein.
I think it was the first year I went, back in 2008, that they actually won; scored a lot but I don't think 42.
Don't think they've won since though...

So ppl on TSL are all but convinced it's Fuente now. There's a "grind iron" article out there that states that he's now the front runner, and that prelim negotiations have already occurred.
FWIW.
