# | Hokies Nearly Earn Storybook Lane Ending for Frank Beamer, Drop Home Finale to UNC 30-27 in OT Which team is he right for, then? Not a good fit for a team loaded with talent transitioning from the spread, who then make the NC game the following year. Not a good fit for our team, which he's had three years to recruit "his guys" and implement "his system." I think it's just starting to show that he's a bad offensive coordinator, no matter how you want to spin it.
The only acceptable option there is to root for Iowa
I was saying in the stands. Not sure if I was serious or not but I would not have been too upset if we failed to convert. Would have loved a bit of killer instinct.
I don't know how comfortable I feel saying his name. He is a REALLY large man I do not want to anger.
Yeah, he should have left after last season.
I was looking forward to that pretzel too.
Frank Beamer Football Center (or Complex, etc.)...leave the individual facility names alone
edit: nevermind...i just read the thread...hopefully it's the thought that counts
I know, but once he gets his scouting report back he may change his mind. I don't see him going any higher than 4th or 5th round at this point. He could benefit from going to a school where he knows he could start and dominating for one year, then his stock would be high again.
I see your point, but the same argument could have been made with stinesping when he called the plays. They got good wins, but offensive performances held the team back, and those performances were issues with design, not talent. Stinespring had future NFL players and could not get consistent results. The same could be argued with Loeffler. The fact that there are almost wins left on the field does not change it.
I don't think Loeffler has shown enough success to stick around. I don't think he is awful either, and he doesn't deserve to be demonized for his output, but he's just not right for this team.
Wow, that would be a really bad move. His draft stock has to be pretty bad after this year. Had he left after last season's NC run, I bet some NFL GM would've taken him with a late 1st or 2nd round pick.
As long as he came here to play school as well, I would be okay with it. He's definitely talented, and it seems like Herman knows how to get the best out of him as a player. Some of the things he's said show a little bit of immaturity at times. But if Herman is our guy, and there was mutual interest between he and Cardale, I could get onboard with it if he would be the best option for us at QB next year.
Cardale said after the game he is also leaving for the NFL.

# | Hokies Nearly Earn Storybook Lane Ending for Frank Beamer, Drop Home Finale to UNC 30-27 in OT I am apparently the only human that was calling for us to go for 2 at 24-23. I'll take that shot to pull the upset every time.
Yea.
Hey he almost had a comeback against them. He was making some magic happen.
So, if we were to get Herman and Cardale Jones decides to become a graduate transfer, would you be interested in the possibility of him in a Hokie uniform? I know, I know it's a long shot, but if we do get Herman and he decides that he isn't going to get drafted where he wants (likely) he may seek to transfer elsewhere, and I could easily see why he would want to play under Herman again.
Is there a video of the entrance?
Finally, a bit of good news.
Could we not get Michael a damn VT hoodie!? At least something that's more Chicago Maroon and less Texas tech maroon?

The first game Beamer coached as HC at Tech in '87 was a home game that concluded in a 22-10 loss against Clemson. Fitting that his final home game concludes in the way he entered.
Dylan Rivers picks PSU. Recruiting keeps on rolling.
I definitely plan on switching to the Clemson and GT games during commercials. I love the typical ACC vs SEC match-ups.
Scot Loeffler for the Mars space expedition
I died laughing
While I don't agree with him doing it the way he did, how many time in a press conference do we hear coaches across the country saying, "I'm disappointed in the effort our kids gave today?"

So Brewer could run a bootleg or QB sneak? Yeah no thanks
