Whatever happened to the concept of the coaches being in charge of the team. This is simply a reflection of the world we live in having less and less respect for authority.
If we wanted Fuente, I'm not sure Memphis could pony up enough cash to compete with us. Houston is probably a different matter.

This is the real issue here. The fact that we're basing our analysis of players on their tattoos is kinda shitty in my opinion, because that's what the real issue seems to be.
Good coaching and good recruiting. It's a virtuous cycle. Sometimes, one follows the other. If each aspect is in relative balance, then success will follow.
I agree. But there will always be kids who want to play for those teams no matter how bad they are. Beamer and staff built a great program at VT, but certain types of athletes never would consider us seriously because of the style of offense or defense we play (Percy Harvin comes to mind). Players want to win; and they want to play in a system that will showcase their talents.
Did Bucky ever explain what he intended on having the tattoo mean? I just don't really get why people think they know or are making up what the tattoo means. I also don't think people need to get offended and try to defend themselves about the posts made here. The OP was just trying to convey his thoughts and even posed a question to start a conversation.
Multiple sources have confirmed...Thanksgiving will be Thursday.

He can make nearly every offense work, but I would prefer for him to pick his OC if he is the next VT coach though.
I would definitely say McMillan and ford are by far our best with Phillips malleck and then bucky behind as far as outright production
The "simple explanation" actually makes a huge difference. I think the average person who sees that tattoo interprets it as the person stating they are "God's Gift (to the world)". With that reasonable interpretation, it makes quite a statement of arrogance about that person. And, it is pretty easy to then interpret "taking plays off" or not going 100% consistently as an extension of that person's attitude about himself.
Having said all that, it sounds like that isn't his intent for the tattoo. So, I've misinterpreted that.
It doesn't change my observation that he seems to take some plays off.

Just to continue the rant...I was watching the receiver closely live on the final play, before the catch he clearly push off the DB! But all in all a great game, nothing that Frank should be ashamed of. Thank you, Frank!!!
