Me either. It'd be like poaching Al Groh from UVA. UNC get a lot of recruits because they're UNC.

I think to a point but MANY more factors play in. If that was the case UNC, Maryland, Miami, Duke would not have beaten Tech out for recruits that much.

Building a good staff is obviously part of the program, but loads of good/great recruiting staffs (ahem, Al Groh's UVA), were inept at developing that recruiting into a winning program.
Fuente is in a tough recruiting state-TN isn't recruit-rich. As well, he's competing against SEC schools for athletes. He's also only been at Memphis for only three years.

When Pierce was in, things did not go well.
I hope he is improving for his sake because I do not see what big man he is ahead of on the depth chart.

There's only one thing left to do, beat LOLUVA.
But can/will we beat them? They just took out a team we failed to finish off at home. And most of the same teams we played (and lost) against this season they kept closer than we did. I'm actually worried (especially based on recent performance) we won't be ready and will lose this time. They KNOW we are coming. They KNOW our players will give their best for Beamer. Is our players' honestly going to be enough to win next Saturday's game?

You would think he would get rotated in some to prevent Bucky from playing every down and getting gassed. That is what we have been talking about with our WR corps all year

I wasn't expecting to beat UNC. I was hoping for a close game with a chance to win it at the end, and that is what we got.
Although I do truly wish Frank would have laid his massive balls out on the table and went for two after the last touchdown.

There were 7 UNC fumbles in the game.
Some were unforced, most were forced. We recovered a couple.

I watched some highlights and listened to the game a bit, the runs he got MSU was just stuffing him even in goaline situations.
Wasn't he in the hospital for three days last week? It seems Urban's offense is regressing back to what it was at UF. Hermann is the one the made it what it was, his loss can't be understated. Don't shoot me, but I think Herman could make lefty's offense work.
I'd guess it's because Malleck and Hodges are usually lining up instead. Cline should have an impact for us next year, I'd think.

The thing is Bucky has a reliable backup, Cline had a great 2013 season but has seen basically no action this year minus a 30 yard pass from Lawson in garbage time. He's a big boy too 240+ 6'4 I don't understand why he isn't seeing the field more
Beamer barn is extremely appropriate. The Worshams made the first million dollar donation, his yard is the same grass that's in Lane. I don't see that ever changing

But Bucky is normally lined up with a safety or LB on him, thus giving him a chance to beat him deep with his speed (and he does have good speed).
Furthermore, from Day 1 Loeffler has said he is going to try and create matchup problems, and Bucky creates one. Do you want to pull a LB all the way out to the field side to try and cover Bucky? Use a CB? Well now we have a matchup advantage for Cam or Isaiah, or it takes a LB out of the box and benefits the run game. If you just ran him on small/intermediate routes, the need to cover him with a CB is not needed.
UVA gambled by putting a SS (Wahee) on Bucky last year and he blew by him on the way to catching the game's winning TD. It works. There are a lot of things to complain about with Loeffler, this is not one of them.
I guess I'm still thinking about the Redskins/Patriots game.
I didn't expect the Skins to win, but dammit, it would have been nice to see them be able to run more than one play in the first quarter. Stupid onside kick....
I wanted that too, but knew they'd play for overtime.
