MSU/OSU game was hard fought. Glad to see Sparty get it done. The playoff chaos could be awesome today if the Big 12 throws in a few good ones. From what I have seen, Florida does not deserve any shot at the playoff, and starting to wonder just who exactly Alabama has beaten this year. Bama may legitimately have no ranked wins except for the fact that that Florida is up there.
Sparty and their win over Oregon is looking better and better as that team has turned its shit around too

The ACC took another blow today as UNC lost to Northern Iowa, who is no doormat, as we saw last year, but still shouldn't have pulled this upset today. Pretty poor showing all around considering UNC, Duke and UVA all have losses already
This OSU game is why I want Herman. There offense was the best in the country with him, and now they are very average (their defense is why they were still in contention.)
Georgia Tech lost. Always happy about that!
You have to admit he has a point (whether you like the sarcasm or not) -- if we make a bowl at 5-7 simply because they keep adding bowls and can't find enough 6-6 teams to fill all the spots, that's a pretty hollow reward.

Yea, he was a good OC at Temple, but...nevermind. I don't care right now. The next coach hopefully won't give him any room for excuses, and just take over calling the plays if things don't look right.

I was at another one of my daughter's cheer competitions, watching the game on my ESPN app until my phone died. Didn't get to see any of the 3rd qrtr, but caught most of the 4th. So when I finally got my phone recharged enough to watch, got the app up and running, I immediately see this dude in the end zone, bobbling this catch.
And whaddya know? It's a fuckin' TD. The look on my face in that lobby was freaking priceless. I even cursed out loud (around some kids maybe). Oh well, Coach Beamer was classy as always. Glad the team showed some grit and fought back.
Very poor taste and sportsmanship...it's only a game.
ESPN mentioned it but no video was shown.

Today's effort was.... not good
Sorry, you're wrong. I saw a team that just played their tails off for the coach they love, and I think they gave it their all. Yes there were miscues and missed opportunities, but you cannot question the effort our guys gave today. It's just too bad they have to play under a OC who has no freakin idea what he's doing.
I stated in the game thread, that it was a 50/50 call - but that replay clearly shows he did not get possession when his foot was down. Not sure if they see it that slowly, but if you don't settle for a FG in OT, it doesn't matter.
I'm with him. You may have said it earlier, but I think circumstances and fairness dictate you give him the 3 years to show improvement. At this point we haven't seen it and so we look for a new guy. But with everything this offense dealt with over the past couple years, making a final judgement before this year was in the books would have been premature.
ESPN sucks.
That would be a hell of a hire if Whit could pull that off.
