It is interesting how many broadcast innovations the XFL fathered. The cable camera (over the field). Camermen running onto the field, practically in the huddle. Both first used on XFL broadcasts.
Not to mention the cheerleader locker room cam.

2 Thoughts:

1. They had a major screw-up by holding zero preseason games before their much hyped NBC Saturday night debut and that game was awful, as could be expected. By the end of the season, the games were quite good to watch but the damage was done.

2. They should have NEVER said the letters "N F L" on their broadcasts. They wanted to appear like a cool and tough alternate. Alas, Joe SixPack was watching at home and kept hearing the announcers knock the NFL and thought "This isn't as good as the NFL" I really think that was a tactical error.

100% sure it's a coach
100% sure he's been born and still alive
100% sure the contract is or is not signed
100% sure it's not Beamer
99% sure it's not me

In summary. 499% sure.

No worries. I've seen a couple of other people say this not realizing it. Regardless, the timing of these two coaches getting pay related news in addition to the smoke coming from some boards is very curious.

The XFL was the best. I watched a show on it once, I think it was the failure to get a TV deal between Vince McMahon and a network that led to its downfall

Strictly bass fishing for me. Living in Chesterfield and still in high school so my options are kinda confined to the local reservoirs and ponds. I do enjoy hitting the bay sometimes to do some Striper fishing though!

Another note: Tom Herman is from Cincinnati, Ohio. Perhaps Herman would want to move closer to home to a P5 school. Virginia Tech will be the best job available no matter what that's close to Cincinnati.

James Franklin could also be an under the radar candidate. But he's already in his home state at Penn State. But he's an offensive-minded guy. Just another name that popped in my mind.
