I agree. But what's to say that a decision hasn't already been made?
FWIW, I believe that very very few people outside of Whit Babcock and the next coach know much of anything, or will know much of anything, until after our season is over.
I get the sense that Whit is playing this one as close to the vest as he can. There are going to be leaks. That's expected. But I'm sure Whit has expressed to his new coach the utmost importance in keeping things quiet out of respect for Beamer. I'm sure both parties will try to keep things as quiet as possible for as long as possible. It's still only November. There is a good chance a hire hasn't been made yet. There's also an outside chance that a deal is all but done. Only time will tell.
I highly doubt that Joe Paterno is the next Hokie head coach.

I want this to happen just as much as the rest of Hokie nation, but let's be rational about it. If they didn't come to the anOSU game, a game that featured the reigning champs and the only team that beat them last year, why would they come for a nooner between a sub par VT team and a UNC team that both reside in one of the weakest divisions in the P5? While it would be cool to honor Frank with something this big, I feel as though it would take the focus away from him. He definitely isn't a huge Metallica fan. Bottom line, is a Metallica performance really the best way to thank our beloved coach?
