I'm with Hokie Fireman. The entertainment value of watching them lose whilst decked out in VT gear would be just too good to pass up. But it's kind of an inconvenient trip for me and I would have to deal with UVA fans all day, so I'll say I'd rather have just not enough milk for my cereal for the next year than go to a LOLUVA game not involving Tech.
On a related note, decent chance I'm gonna go to a WVU game with my girlfriend and her grandparents this season. Social experiment: I'm wearing my VT hat. If I don't come back, let it be known I went down swinging and died a proud Hokie.

FSU definitely wasn't world beaters last night. Golson seems like an average QB with some mobility. Definitely a stop gap for them for who ever is coming next. I wonder how they would have been had he not transferred since he's the starter. BC's defense looked better than I thought they would. Had some speed to get to the edge on Cook a lot last night.
And as with everyone else, Nnadi and Sweat made sad.

I am getting this nagging negative feeling that our defensive tackle depth is going to be wasted due to poor linebacker play. But then... I drink my happy juice and just want cheer Lets Go Hokies!

Yeah Clemson and FSU aren't looking great. I think we have a pretty solid top ten or so throughout the country but after that it's just a mishmash of who is going to end up winning games. Clemson was a trendy pick to go to the playoff, but I just don't see it right now. Having said that, Louisville appears to play to the level of their opponents but is still 0-3.
And that LB decleating the OL was pretty great.
Can't lie, this was the first thing that popped in my head. Bravo!
Northwestern
I have met people that have gone to both Northwestern and Duke. That is my reason for picking Northwestern.
Georgia Tech
ND's 3rd stringer looked good against LOLuva. The magic has to end sometime. I think it is in this game.
Stanford
No team is as good or as bad as they looked the week before. At least I think that is how the saying goes. I think Stanford can easily cover this.
Alabama
Many are picking Ole Miss to win. I thinks this means Bama wins big.
BYU
Too many points. BYU isn't that bad and UCLA isn't that good, especially on defense.

About time. He got no love during his draft experience. He's way better than Ponder and Gabbert. This is what NFL.com had to say about him during that draft:
"Weaknesses: Does not possess adequate height and too many of his passes are knocked down at the line. Sloppy footwork prevents him from stepping into throws making him an erratic passer. Locks onto receivers and often telegraphs his throws. Struggles breaking down coverage and makes too many ill-advised throws."

Yup and this fight was 4 quarters.
I honestly believe if Brewer stayed healthy we would've won the game. There are some intangibles that the offense had with Brewer in game and we would have done enough offensively over 4 quarters to eek out a win. What we saw after the unfortunate injury is what we've been used to for awhile -- having the D keep us in the game. There's only so much our D can bring before we tire and peter out. Our offense has to put pressure on the opponent and it showed second quarter.
We never had a chance to adjust with a healthy Brewer in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Sam Rogers would have had another touchdown or two. Malleck would have caught a wheel route TD again. We would've had migraines from all the screaming and euphoria.
But yes I am over the loss because I think of it as two separate games with separate out comes. We won the first half game 17-14. We lost the second half game 28-10. Including the first game and at the end of 6 quarters, we still beat anOSU. With a healthy Brewer, it would've been 8 quarters won. Overly confident? Not at all.
So now I wait to see who is going to hang 24 or more on anOSU. Bud gave the defensive plan how to do it. Now it's up to some other team to look at our offensive plan, then scheme and execute their way to a victory over anOSU. Granted that no other team executes our scheme like us.
Won not done? There's still alot of football to be played. But some team is going to hand anOSU their loss this season.
With Brewer healthy, I still think we lose. We were giving up too much ground on D, and we were the benefactor of some fortuitous bounces. I certainly believe it would have been closer, but we still lose by 14.

Our defense might have been on the field less if Brewer stayed healthy, but they still would have given up 30+ points. I think we would have been looking at about a 2 TD loss, with no garbage time scoring which would have made the game feel much different than it ended up actually being.
I did that for the Oregon game a couple years back. I got offered free tix for W&M today but declined. I'd rather watch Hokies on TV than Hoos vs FBS.
