Well I stuck to my guns and started Tyrod over Peyton. Don't let me down, T-Mobile!
The backup, Brock Osweiler would not be an improvement. He'll probably start a year or two after Peyton is gone, but they won't build the offense around him. And then the Broncos will be stuck in the Bills eternal hell where they don't have a franchise QB, but the defense is so good it keeps them from being able to draft one.

If you've seen any of Hokie Fireman's other posts, you'd realize how gross a mischaracterization that is. He had an opinion, calmly and rationally gave his reasons, and wanted others to weigh in and discuss. That's why these boards exist. This isn't click bait. And based on the eyeball test, Peyton is certainly waning. He's still a competent QB, but he longer looks to be elite. He's serviceable, but he's peaked, and generally that would indicate retirement will soon be upon him.
He made plays and still helped Denver win the game. This thread is nothing but "PLEASE CLICK ON MEEE" hype.

In general the talent level has been on the rise the past couple of years, so when people say 'don't worry yet', I think they mean we're trending in the right direction and don't freak out over who we're not landing

You're correct. Louisville taking the time out was the right call. But then they dodged a bullet on the bad snap, and failed to dodge another when the QB took a sack. It honestly looked like Petrino had never practiced a two minute drill.
Wouldn't they have wound the clock on 4th down if they didn't call the timeout, though? The previous play was a run. The clock was only stopped for a measurement and review.
Over the last week or so the jet stream has been very calm and undisturbed.

Absolutely horrible play calling at the end to not roll the pocket so the QB can just toss it out of bounds if he's about to get sacked. And how the hell did Louisville only have one receiver deep in the game ending Hail Mary? Petrino feel apart worse than the Bluesmobile.
Exactly -- they burned their last TO before the Clemson punt, when the clock was already stopped. And then, yea, how do you fall apart like that after getting into FG range with 30 seconds left. Horrible, horrible, horrible clock mgt by Louisville at the end. Inexcusable not to at least get a FG attempt out of that.
I don't think any decommits, at least none I can recall. Possible some on the fence recruits went elsewhere based on AMo's departure, but that's just conjecture. And Burden didn't flip any of his guys from ODU to VT.
