Still a newbie, Week 2 has to be better than Week 1.

I will say this...I'm glad we have 3 more non-conference games before we start league play. Hopefully, Motley will show up in the starting role. If not, we have these 3 games to work out the kinks and get Lawson or Durkin some game experience before Pitt. If there ever is a good place to be in your schedule when your QB1 goes down, this is certainly it.

As has been said many times, when Brewer goes down the air went out. If Motley, or whoever is the next guy that can roll with a play action pass, or draw play, or even slants for a couple a plays for a touchdown then boom the momentum is back. The lack of any offense played in to the lack of momentum.

Yea it may be a different chapter but we're talking chapters 1 and 2 here. And a 3rd year college quarterback, how many practices have you gone thru not to have atleast spent time with the 1st team WRs and practice passing. There was a lack of moving on and restoring the confidence

When it rains, footing is more treacherous in general...our field is superbly designed however so that won't be an issue. It also makes the football slick, and smaller guys have problems handling it. We'll run it, and run it with big guys...Shai, Motley, and Rodgers should all have 60 yards rushing if we're doing things intelligently...I would go higher, but I expect we'll try to get reps to other guys in our one FCS game...

exactly. why not let all of the yards gained count? Not sure why people wouldn't want to get say 5.9 points instead of 5 for someone gaining 59 yards. I always prefer fractional points.

Somebody has to come in a prove we can move the ball through the air. Otherwise we're going to see stacked lines and D's that dare us to prove otherwise the rest of the way.

This was going to be the case no matter what.

man, I was looking at the Saturday forecast and I got a clinch in my colon for a couple of moments. After getting back from DC for the Boise game, my son came up from the 757 to see his first Hokie game.I got us a couple of those cheap Hokie ponchos and we sat in the the double misery of getting soaked thru and thru and losing to JMU. Today after seeing 80% chance of thunderstorms for Saturday afternoon, that same feeling arose for a few secs. Will it be the same this year? I hope not, seeing as Furman is not JMU but....... what will hard rain make us do on offense and does that suit Motley better than if it were dry?

On the press release here it says anybody that already reserved tix can request parking and camping spots when the ticket forms go out this fall. So that includes people that reserved tickets what seems like 5 years ago right?

As far as they're concerned, it probably is the case. The schools bought the tickets from BMS, so those tickets are gone, NASCAR got its share, so those tickets are gone... the only tickets that are left for BMS to sell are these tickets, which are just the remainder.

I don't know that Facyson wasn't 100%. I do not believe that Ohio State completed a pass on him all game long. As for the deep TD throw to Miller, unless we are in the film room, we will never know if that coverage bust was Stroman or Facyson's fault.

I can totally see corporation partnership taking a big chunk of the tickets like at bowl games. Meaning the real fans are stuck with nose bleed sections and goal post views

On the scramble/jump pass play, Riley was in the game and left his man open deep to come up on Jones. Otherwise, I didn't notice Riley and that was a good thing.

I think perhaps Bud felt like the Buckeyes wouldn't use Michael Thomas anywhere but on the outside, so he didn't want to put Kendall at the nickel. Riley and Facyson are strictly outside corners, so it was pretty much Kendall, Stroman, or Mook inside. Mook got some work late at corner. Edmunds also didn't look out of place at the corner spot. The PI was not a good call, and Edmunds had good coverage on a wheel route in the same drive.
