I'm still dumbfounded why anyone would want to go to a speedway, where the angles on the proposed field will absolutely suck, the distance between the field and the stands will be 100 yards, and there is no way the good seats will truly be available to fans at a reasonable price. I'll watch on TV, and continue to be utterly befuddled by anyone going to the game...
Although it's been referenced, I suppose someone should say outright that people can still reserve tickets for this via Hokietickets.com until October 1 if they're hokieclub members.
Last chance for priority, and those are supposed to be the best seats, unlike what they do for bowl games sometimes.

# | Locker Room Wrap: Hokies' Defense Befuddled by OSU Blocking Schemes, Playmakers It's a small sample size but when JT ran that end speed option, he went for 40 yards while Cardale got 3 to 10. JT threw one pass for a TD. Game was decided at that point, so that plays into it. We will never know, but JT is an extremely efficient QB and accurate passer. I actually think Ohio State would have punted less and scored more with JT in there - but I could be very wrong. Cardale's size and strength allowed him to see over the defense and avoid sacks, so maybe he was the better choice for this particular defense. One opinion is as good as another.
I wouldn't draw any hard conclusions about the quality of the VT defense based on the yards and points. Ohio State is going to rack up ridiculous numbers and points against a lot of people. There is just too much for any defense to cover. They will get beat if they turn the ball over like they did in the 2nd qtr and a team has enough offense to take advantage. The Hokies needed those TO's to continue in the 2nd half, and they needed a healthy Brewer to continue to make plays.
I think Furman is in trouble. :)
you're crazy Hargreaves III is the best god damn player in the NCAA> duhh
There's the potential that they have the #1 overall for the next two years.
Hey, 1999 was a good year for me in football. High school won state championship, VT was on the way to the national championship, and Redskins got into the playoffs.
Now January 2000 was a different story....
I think there's an argument that all VT fans are still partying like it's 1999. Nothing wrong with it!
Fighting Alex Smiths
Touchdown Jesus
Boomer Sooner
Quack Attack is back, Jack
Tigerbait
The Smurfs
Or he's still partying like it's 1999.

# | Torrian Gray reflects on the performance of Tech's secondary against Ohio State OSU could have up to 5 first-rounders in the 2016 draft
It looks like VT will end priority ticket sales Oct 1st. So a wild guess would say open to general public soon after that?
This is exactly what I have been wondering this whole time. How would his package have been different from Motley's? I get the idea of having a wildcat QB that plays a little bit each game, but I don't like the idea of having TWO wildcat QB's along with your main starter.
its hard to develop 2 true freshman in a month and another R-Fr in a year. Leoffler has brought in QBs since he has been here. 1 transferred and 1 might be our best RB. Those things happen.
QB development happens in the offseason and Leoffler was tasked with getting all his QBs up to speed on a pretty detailed system. He obviously spent the larger part of that effort getting the #1 guy ready which is what you would expect a coach to do. There are only so many reps to go around and even fewer first team reps. Motley was 3rd string and dinged up last year which means he got very few reps. Leoffler was given a very bare cupboard to work with and the staff has done a really good job of restocking it but we are young and some positions are not conductive to playing freshman.
Umm, do you know something we don't know about FSU leaving the ACC before 2018?
Or Motley is just not as good of a QB as Brewer and the other guys are as young as they get and not ready to play at full speed. There were plays where Motley had wide open receivers but he was very late seeing them. The coaches can only work with what they have. The back up plan was likely a scaled back version of the playbook and that is what we saw.
I am willing to bet that 80% of the teams in CFB would struggle when their starting QB goes down and even more would struggle when their QB goes down against the #1 team in the country. Having a stable of QBs is rare given the required reps it takes to be a successful QB at this level. Bringing in the backup while losing is never a good situation. How about we wait a game or 2 more before we make any drastic accusations.
We have been recruiting QBs pretty heavily
12 Michael Brewer r-Sr
16 Jack Click - Fr.
13 Chris Durkin - r-Fr.
2 Dwayne Lawson Fr.
9 Brenden Motley r-Jr.
We aren't a QB destination but that a good load of them. With that kind of depth of scholarship players we oughta play them and coach them to be ready. We have had back to back, back up QBs on scholarship that have not been ready for the next man up stage, seems pretty bad for coaching ability. And player scouting/recruiting and player development/BeamerWay
FSU will be another strong non-conference opponent for us to play. Makes sense for ESPN to make the matchup.
Anybody else think it would've been cool to see what Lefty would've been able to do with Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Williams?
it looked like Motu had on his Renaissance Fair armor and the blockers used really strong magnets.
Well hell if you don't want them to bring a band just say so.
Good, damn band nerds getting free tickets! ;)
Utah State
ND
Oklahoma
Ducks
LSU
Boise State
So when is VT going to open up their ticket sales of their allotment to the general public through the school? It was only for season ticket holders and hokie club members before and they hadn't sold out.
Pollack really does bring the bro-ness as you can see him start semi-fist pumping and really getting into Enter Sandman.
Seriously though, I also like David Pollack. And Rece Davis.
