again.. this is all the evidence we need.
The Heisman race should be a fun one this year, especially if it's between Ezekiel Elliott & Cardale. https://t.co/Y9NwFVEwyP #OSUvsVT— Nick Gryniewicz ESPN (@ESPN580Nick) September 8, 2015
and

I think Motley is a fine QB and deserves a shot. I think most of the "play the new guy" clamoring is based on our history with Randall and Taylor. Both ended up being great, but both also were very raw when the calls from the stands started.
I expect to hear stand calls for Lawson before these next three weeks are over. I'd be happy if I don't.

My 30 second, first thought picks.
I think Leoffler had gained some fans in the first half of the OSU game. He had a great gameplan going and by all accounts was going to show off some more stuff in the second half until we got derailed. While he needs to develop Motley quickly, I think a stronger running game this year could be huge for helping him in the play calling department.
Our WRs will need to be able to beat man coverage in the next 6 weeks though and help Motley out by getting open.
I've got to believe the coaches have seen these quarterbacks play, and have an opinion.
They've announced that Motley is the guy. That means he's the guy.
I think Lefty did a good job and deserves credit for having our offense ready to go. I hope one of our three remaining QB's can step up and become a leader for this team. I really don't care which one it is! All three are unproven and may the best man win. I know a lot of people are calling for Lawson and he may be the next great QB but until I see it on the field I will not rush to make him our #1 QB. If I remember correctly Lefty said Durkin made huge strides this year coming out of camp and I wonder if he will get a real shot. No matter I am still really excited to see what this team can do the rest of the year. I think we held our own against the #1 team in the country and we should be in every game the rest of the year. On a side note I noticed that our play makers looked slow when compared to OSU. There was no down field threats on offense? Remember this is coming from a novelist/arm chair guy.
I was below you somewhere yelling the same thing. Even the VT fans looked like they thought I was nuts (no pun intended).
That second part is where Brewer could be a big help to Leoffler. He can be another coach for these young guys now.
I think it depends on how Motley (Or the others) is doing. If he is winning us games and is effective to the level that Brewer would be, then Motley would probably be our guy. If the coaches think Brewer would be an improvement, he will play. I imagine Brewer will come back as the starter because I don't think any of the other QBs have near the understanding of the offense that Brewer has right now. I do hope the Brewer takes on a role of a second QB coach and spends a lot of time helping Motley but also Lawson and Durkin with understanding the offense inside and out.
Gotta go Utah but I have a funny feeling about this one.
Leprechauns cover this like that gigantic quilt your great-great grandmother made in 1889.
UT - hard to go against the Vols in Knoxvegas here.
Oregone beats the spread and the Spartans
Coach Grass-Eater covers
Smurfs cover going away. BYU is probably an emotional mess this week.
Wait, what...the offense gets a better write up than the defense! What kind of strange world did I wake up in.

Some of them are able to back up their words with decent coaching as well.
Others used to be cops.
Wasn't he in Point Break? I'm sure he was in Point Break.
Hopefully no other teams have access to French's analysis...
I was worried about the LB corps and safeties prior to the season beginning and I am even more worried now. Definitely going to be some growing pains with them this season...
I would have liked to have seen what Loeffler could have done with Brewer at the helm, but it just didn't work out that way.
So Loeffler's going to get a more difficult job this season.
How many times have we thought this before and could barely squeak out enough points to win!
I hope this time we just light it up!
There are a lot of magicians, aka salesmen, working as coaches football and basketball.
They talk a good game, and can make recruits believe them. Some of them are able to back up their words with decent coaching as well.
If you can find a salesman who can coach or hire good coaches, that's your man.
Legendary Anchorman reference. I would give 10 legs if I could.
not to mention his HUDL is private.. nothing to see here VT move along!

I think it depends a lot on how Motley, Durkin, or Lawson is playing when Brewer is available again. If we are really struggling on offense and barely getting by, I think it's a no-brainer that Brewer takes over again. However, if the new guy is really excelling and we're winning ACC games, I think it's hard to take the hot hand out of the game. There's undoubtedly also going to be rust for Brewer to shake off, and if we are on a roll and in a position to clinch the division, I have a hard time seeing us going back unless we absolutely need to. I feel really bad for Brewer, but we absolutely need to figure out who our guy of the future is right now and get him as prepared as possible. I hope Brewer's recovery is as seamless and quick as possible, but we should prepare for the possibility that we've seen him take his last snap in Blacksburg. We're going to really see what Loeffler is made of as a QB coach these next few weeks.

/s I know, but he might pass Bosa and be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
