I've never seen the fanbase of a championship team be so vitriolic. Other than maybe Miami.

BC and Pitt are lower (as in closer to #1) on my list because it would just be another year of not being able to get their thorns out of our sides.

ECU is higher (as in closer to #12) on my list because at this point I just don't care and want them to go away forever and ever.

loluva is #1 for sure though, don't want to lose to an FCS program

I just went kayaking on the new out of Pembroke with New River Outdoors last weekend. Not sure if they do tubing but you basically float around pearisburg then they pick you up. Only cost about $40 for the trip. Not sure if they run after labor day or not.

In my experience the tubing places all shut down around labor day.

Did someone say KoolAid? If you keep pouring... I'll keep drinking. Nice job.

I hope this is not the case. I will shun any Hokie who sells their ticket to an away team fan for a quick buck (in this case many bucks, but the point stands).

Good! More Hokies the better...

But next time use the gif from the original Willy Wonka and not the horrible remake.

Yeah, but the win against them that year kind of made up for it, right? If we were going to split wins with them, I'm glad it happened that we won the one that sent us to a better bowl game. Granted, we lost the bowl game, but, we got our revenge against BC the same year.

As a Hokie fan that won't be in Lane on Labor Day, I am requesting that osu and their fans wish to never hear that song again after game night. If you are there, please make sure they are welcomed but at the end, never wish to return. Yell and scream and cheer for all of those that can't be there in person to do it. Go Hokies!

Note on cell reception: Whit is actively working to improve it. When I worked at VT he would often ask employees what needed to be changed and he said that was high up on his list.

That's a bummer! My mom's cousin owns NRJ, so that's the only place I've ever gone tubing in the NRV (my grandparents live like 8 houses up the road).

I have "SPL meter" on my iPhone. Going to screen grab it during the game and post (probably after since cell reception in Lane sucks). Excited to see how high it will go.

Edit: I forgot I have a real one, too. Will try to remember to take and use it.

Here's what we do. You need two cars and your own tubes. Park one car at the end on River Rd just up stream from the Eggleston Rd bridge. Then drive to where the company that rents tubes ends their float. Park on the opposite side of the road. That's not their property. They will usually come and bitch at you if you are on their property and not renting from them. Just walk 100 feet or so down the road and put in.

Tickets are below $200! I know what I'm buying when I get home.

Favorite comment thus far.

"I hate to admit "anOSU" is pretty clever. Why can't any of our real rivals come up with something that good?"

Well done TKP.

That's the thing, though... they weren't even keeping the foot on the gas. Every play at that point was essentially a run up the middle for 2-3 yards. We had thrown in the towel and they knew it.

But still, they would immediately get up to the LOS, not allowing us to sub anyone out, run about 3 shifts, wind the playclock down to 5 or less, and snap the ball. It was a dick move for the hell of it.

I pray Bud is head coach when we play Michigan in 2020 and 2021. When the game is all but over late, and we're holding onto a double digit lead, I hope we return the favor.

We need to be sure we are just louder than the Ohio State.. I think, sadly, a lot of Hokies/scalpers are selling the tickets to them buckeyes...

1289 still on Stubhub.. Most 2-5x face at least in the section I am in.

God's waiting room.

I lived there while I was in the Navy and every time you saw a late model sedan with a porkpie hat and blue hair up front you had to be ready for any possible stupid traffic move...
